I think that the worst and most dangerous misconception #people have about #fascism is that it's this sort of turbocharged "Beast Mode" that #countries can go into to increase their production, win wars, and make the trains run on time, and that the primary objections to it centre on whether the "obvious" increase in efficiency that fascism offers is worth the loss of #freedom and lives. But in reality #fascist regimes like to put up a façade of strength and efficiency, even as they practice #corruption on a scale unimaginable in #democracies and even as the public interest is hollowed out by parasitical #opportunists. There is no trade-off; fascism is a #grift all the way down.
I know I don't shut up about this but frankly not enough #people are angry about the 5-day/40 hour workweek (and I am AWARE a lot of people #work even more than that). I feel like a lot more people should be absolutely furious that we only really have two days a week and some occasional hours in the evening to socialise, run errands, do chores, or relax.
It's no wonder so many people are profoundly lonely and disconnected from their #communities when maintaining a social life in what little free time we have is incredibly difficult. If you have kids, a second #job, a very long commute, or other responsibilities, it's nearly impossible.
We literally aren't meant to live like this and I'll never stop being shocked how many people just take it as the natural state of things and don't want to throw a brick through a #billionaire's window every time they think of it.

Telling people not to click links is a terrible idea.
It's also telling them not to do their job.
If clicking a link destroys your company that's a security architecture problem, not an end user problem.
Clicking links isn't a risky behaviour, it's what people need to do to do their job.
Teaching people how phishing actually works and what to do to protect themselves is much better than just telling them not to click stuff they have to click all the time.
Reward them for their good work! Make them feel like a valued member of the team instead of a terrified child in an abusive household who gets yelled at for getting the wrong plate out.
I like people who are kind to animals.
I like people who have something nice to say more often than not.
I like people who help others.
I like people who appreciate art in some way.
I like people who share useful information.
I like people who make me laugh.
I like people who show me their gardens/flowers.
I like people who respect other people.
I like people who write stuff that makes me think or smile.
This is one of the best things I've read, about community and showing up. And I hope other people find it useful too. I don't think there's a paywall - there wasn't for me.
