JERUSALEM — #Hamas leader #YehiaSinwar has for years overseen a secret police force in the Gaza Strip that conducted surveillance on everyday #Palestinians and built files on young people, #journalists and those who questioned the government, according to intelligence officials and a trove of internal documents reviewed by The New York Times.
The exodus of Palestinians from Gaza’s last refuge accelerated Sunday as Israeli forces pushed deeper into the southern city of Rafah.
Israel also pounded the territory’s devastated north, where some Hamas militants have regrouped in areas the military said it had cleared months ago.
UN human rights chief Volker Turk said in a statement that he cannot see how a full-scale invasion of Rafah can be reconciled with international humanitarian law.
The Israeli army has intensified its renewed assault on Jabalia refugee camp and the Zeitoun area in northern Gaza as resistance factions regroup there, months after the Israeli army said it had "defeated Hamas" in the north.
It's so easy to blame Biden for the genocide in Gaza.
But:
Palestinians are governed by a brutal, unhinged, Iran-backed terrorist organization. They are intercepting aid and hoarding it or selling it for outrageous prices.
Israel is governed by a power-hungry wannabe dictator backed by a blood-thirsty, trigger-happy IDF.
Biden is trying to broker peace with these two batshit crazy groups IN ORDER TO PROTECT OUR OWN US NATIONAL SECURITY.
« [C]omme l’écrivait il y a plus de vingt ans l’historien anglo-américain Tony Judt, #Israël apparait aux #ManifestantsÉtudiants comme «un anachronisme», un État d’un autre temps, à la fois ethniciste et colonial, l’un des derniers de la planète. C’est pour ce motif qu’ils s’insurgent contre ce qu’il advient à #Gaza. »

It follows a violent police crackdown on pro-Palestinian protesters on Amsterdam University's campus last week. The students are demanding the university divests from Israel linked companies.
Professor of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, Sarah Bracke, spoke to Al Jazeera about the student and staff protests against Israel’s war on Gaza in the Netherlands.
Israel will never completely destroy Hamas, inside or outside Gaza. Just as the west never fully defeated IS.
Also if there is no clear concept/plan for the next phase in Gaza, for the palestinian people, after Hamas has been weakened, Israel is doomed for tactical victories and a strategic defeat in the coming months.
My guess is some Israeli generals try explain that to their government but they simply won't listen. #Israel#Hamas#Gaza#geopolitics@geopolitics s@a.gup.pe
