finished my tiny slayer exciter tesla coil. decided to use a 50 pence coin as top load cause my steel balls are taking forever to get here. base is 3d printed from wood fill filament and has a piece of copper clad FR1 stuck to the bottom of it to act as ground plane.

132,000 volt breaker connections - removed live in an indoor substation. Fun starts around 3:30.

I believe the arcing is from stray capacitance combined with the high voltages - a very small amount of current flow.

This live work is performed by trained experts with specific equipment.
