Massive study analyzes 23 million headlines from 47 news media outlets in the US from 2000-2019. They find that over this time period, headlines became more likely to denote anger, fear, disgust and sadness and less likely to be emotionally neutral. Headlines from right-leaning news media were consistently more negative than headlines from left-leaning outlets as well. https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0276367
“#Tesla blamed drivers for failures of parts it long knew were defective
Wheels falling off cars at speed. Suspensions collapsing on brand-new vehicles. Axles breaking under acceleration. Tens of thousands of customers told Tesla about a host of part failures on low-mileage cars. The automaker sought to blame drivers for vehicle ‘abuse,’ but Tesla documents show it had tracked the chronic ‘flaws’ and ‘failures’ for years.” https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/tesla-musk-steering-suspension/

For Abrahamic religions there are 2 contesting ideas:
a) believe refers to believing that God is the ever present witness, therefore since there is a witness (to conflicts and the being is just) there is responsibility (judgement day)
b) believe refers to believing that God is the only source of truth, therefore the voices of God, the clerics, cannot be questioned
the problem we have is b) being the mainstream, claiming oh we believe a) too, but more so on b)

Hi, I'm stuck waiting on laundry to finish and am bored, so why don't I come on here and write some hot takes about YouTube?
I mean, I can think of several reasons, but too bad I'll do it anyway.
Knowing the leanings of the folks on this particular platform this is likely to spark some debate, but note that I'm not trying to paint YouTube as a saint - in fact, the first thing I want to talk about is a strategy they've taken which puts me and all YT creators in a weird place:
I have an impression that once the ads start playing it won't stop and return to the original content.
It's just ads after ads, the the webpage no longer tracks the original content.
“British Petroleum, the second largest non-state owned oil company in the world, with 18,700 gas and service stations worldwide, hired the public relations professionals Ogilvy & Mather to promote the slant that climate change is not the fault of an oil giant, but that of individuals. It’s here that British Petroleum, or BP, first promoted and soon successfully popularized the term ‘carbon footprint’ in the early aughts.”
