No other position is morally defensible under such conditions.
There is overwhelming evidence that the side with overwhelmingly more power is committing ongoing atrocities against civilians on a massive scale, while attempting to hide the true extent of their crimes.
"We didn't know. We couldn't tell. The fog of war. Both sides tell lies. Wait for independent investigations." These deflections and deferrals can no longer be used with intellectual or moral credibility by citizens in the western nations backing #Israel.

"To annihilate people, you have to dehumanize them. and convince your own public and your taxpayers that they deserve it. There are several stages to do it. Zygmunt Bauman wrote about it in relation to propaganda against the Jews. But it applies to all propaganda and dehumanization of people.
"First of all, you abstract them. They do not exist. Palestinians do not exist in Israel's consciousness, in Israeli culture or in Israeli education. They are nothing more than a kind of very remote, amorphous enemy: danger, threat, terrorism.
"In all Israeli textbooks, and there are hundreds of them, you don't find a single photo of a Palestinian human being.
