I did not realize how easy it was to collectively fight medical debt. Just learned about this initiative in Philly that raised over $17.000 and erased 1.6 MILLION in medical debt for the community. Let's do this in our own communities!
A group of Philadelphians erased $1.6 million in local medical debt. They celebrated with an unofficial debt burning.
Is there anybody in the Philadelphia area who's interested in a bunch of free classical music records? (I haven't counted, but I'm talking about a few hundred records here. And they're in pretty good shape, too!) We're moving soon, and aren't planning on taking them with us. So if anybody out there is interested and can pick them up, lemme know and we can work out the details.

#art#history: in 1939, billie holiday - born eleanora fagan on this day in 1915 - threw a punch with the release of her recording of 'strange fruit' - &, if she'd not persisted, it may not have been released until much later. columbia refused, at first (‘they won’t buy it in the south’), to let billie include it even though it had been a central & permanent pillar of her repertoire during her tenure at cafe society. #billieHoliday#music#illustration#philadelphia#antiRacism#strangeFruit

Anyway, kid's birthday involved making terrariums at spiffy local shop Pretty Green Terrariums. Fairly involved, makes a closed system with a few bugs to ... balance... I dunno. Was hovering outside. Neat components, teens were very engrossed, products varied a lot with personalities. Highly recommend for groups, couples, or any plant-lovers!
