Pedestrians, it should be our right to be distracted. It should be our right to walk and listen to music / look at the sky / cute dogs / snowflakes and not worry about getting killed. Nothing about that is dangerous except for CARS. Don't let them make you believe you are the problem.

Eh, I can't say I agree completely.

I saw an immigrant almost get killed.

He crossed a busy street during rush hour. It was not a green light for him. He did not cross at a light. He was walking in a day dream with his head down, not looking where he was going. He stepped about two yards in front of a moving car.

Thankfully that car had good brakes, and there not other cars tailgating that one. The car just tapped the man, who fell in the street out of surprise rather than impact. He was okay.

Non-drivers need to obey the traffic laws and pay attention.

You can now turn any WordPress blog into a Fediverse server which can be followed from Mastodon etc.

I've updated the instructions on how to do this at:

I.T. people tend to be like M.D.s. They are well studied in their profession, but tend to be ignorant in most everything else, never thinking much about anything else.

Sort of like the guy from the college gym with big biceps, but very thin undeveloped legs.

Stoicism means to live in harmony with nature -- reality. That is pursued via wisdom ( thinking ), ethics, temperance, and courage.

It is not about doing harsh things as an end in itself.

Nobody can really say that they never had Covid 19, unless they get a medical test.

Many people that get infected, but are asymptomatic.

Though they are asymptomatic they can still spread Covid 19 to people will get sick, get Long Covid, or die.

That is why wearing masks indoors outside of your home is important.

It not only protects you, but it protects others from you.

Nobody wants to unknowingly make someone else sick.
