I’ve been having a great time with my new @frameworkcomputer laptop. The flexibility is really unique. First I got to build the laptop myself with parts, and now I get it to be what I want it to be with regards to input and ports and such. I’ll probably swap out the screen bezel for a bolder color, though. The purple is not very purple. Worth the 6 month wait!

@gabek @frameworkcomputer @EposVox depends on the material, but usually light sandpaper, and a can of spray paint would be enough 😏.

I paint garden gnomes for birthday gifts 😏

Great news from the specialist for internal diseases. I'm doing too good to be longer under specialist care, and with some tweaks to medication and diet I will be handed over back to the general practitioner 🎉

Ondertussen al een tijdje met mijn Mobvoi onderweg. Het was wel wennen aangezien de manier van notificaties erg anders was ten opzichte van de Amazfit. Vorige week voor het eerst gewandeld met Komoot en dat was werkelijk schitterend. Wel heb ik nog niet alles werkend zoals ik wil. Tasker is niet echt goed te koppelen, maar dat is niet zo een heel erg punt.

Misschien heb jij hier antwoord op, ik mis een melding per uur (chime) en ik zou graag mijn telefoonwekker gekoppeld willen zien.

@Wandelstock hm mijn telefoon wekker gaat er gewoon automatisch op af, daar heb ik niks voor gedaan. De uur chime dat moet je denk ik in een losse app zoeken dan

There's so many little things the new #Dutch xenophobic rightwing / anti-environment government will make worse.

Here's one most people will have missed:

In the early 2000 my "farmer" classmates got diesel cars as their first vehicle. They'd fill it up with "red diesel", a very cheap (no sales & excise tax) fuel legally only to be used in farm vehicles.

Despite stern warnings only one of them ever had its fuel checked. He received a small fine.

@Pepijn well the alternative was Timmermans 1. The guy who claims to be environmental, but cheers for monocultures and openly says his gas bill is 2000 a month. Can't trust that either. Let's see when the new elections are. We're doomed anyway. If we want to change something, we don't need to rely on these government parties to do so and 'be the change you want to see in the world'. For which I think you are a great example.

We can try again in 6 months probably, but first we have eu elections

Het nieuwe hoofdlijnenakkoord is samen te vatten als : “voet op de rem, je lost je shit zelf maar op”:

  • Boeren moeten tijdelijk aanklooien.
  • Natuur moet het nog even uitzingen.
  • Burgers worden niet gesteund, bijv bij elektrificatie.
  • Gemeenten moeten hun problemen met asielzoekers zelf oplossen.
  • Klimaat: niet oplossen maar adaptatie
    -etc.
    Het kabinet erna zal het extra moeilijk krijgen omdat alle transities dan extra inspanning zullen vereisen.

Populisme is “korte termijn” - denken.

@antal elektrificatie is in veel huishoudens geen oplossing. Helaas zien we het niet terug, maar oude cv ketels op gas vervangen kan 30% besparen tegen een investering van 1800 euro. Een jaren 70 huis, warmtepomp geschikt maken kost ~40.000.

Ik had graag een kabinet gehad dat een realistisch plan hiervoor als tussenoplossing had. Ik heb zelf 2 jaar geleden deze vervanging gedaan, en isolatie zoveel mogelijk verbeterd. Heb in totaal 39% gasreductie. Had hier graag meer in gezien

The Microsoft project looks great, but it could use some activity.

There is a great opportunity to improve the plugin or the tool or to improve it's current default ruleset. You can use this tool for in your code, or common best practices.

Will you help me popularize it's usage? For me it's a serious contestant for the sluggish if it gets a bit more love 🩷

I would like to see if I can interact with my own writing and scribbles I have saved over the past years.
Could I use a chatbot for that?

So: What would you advise me to use if I would want to create a chatbot to interact with my own digitalised thoughts? ;-)

I would rather not have my data, so my writings or my prompts, go to any company, or if I have to because that's not possible, I want to pay them so that my data stays private.

@erikkemp RAG is the term you're looking for. The easiest most popular way is using ollama as a base, that's a local model runner. As an interface with RAG openwebui is the most popular. Their GitHub has an installation guide that covers everything; https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui
