I'm approaching 8 years with my 1080. I have a 3060 for compute tasks, but my displays are driven by the 1080.

It's showing no signs of needing replacement; it's driving a 1440p170 display and a 2160p60 display, no problems.

Steve basically comes to the same conclusion I did: The 1080 and 1080 Ti were probably the best cards Nvidia ever (or will ever) released. They represented massive performance gains and were the last series before the pricing got out of hand.

The backups for my personal infra go on a friend's NAS, Backblaze, GCP, and a pair of spinning disks, one of which is kept in my backpack.

It's also important to remember that a large part of the left sees cisgendered white males being unemployed and unemployable to be the end goal of their cause. They would tell you that if I want to be a part of society again, I can and should become trans.

Me starving to death in the streets woukd be considered cause for celebration and is indeed their ultimate goal. Why would I support a party that literally wants me to suffer and die?

I am, by any definition, a liberal. But the progressive left doesn't want liberalism anymore.

The right isn't actively trying to deplatform gays. The right doesn't email the cops over every post gay people make trying to get them arrested.

The right, generally speaking, still believes in individual freedom, especially freedom of expression.

Only looking at them because there's a buyer that is very very anal about only white cable being allowed.

They routinely bug me to drive 600+ miles for $120 and I always counter with mileage plus hotel plus per diem. They've been desperate enough to accept these hilariously one-sided offers before but it falls through when they ask about the cable I keep on hand.

Their reimbursement rates for cat6 plenum are 3-4x what Amazon suppliers charge, so I figure I'll get this (relatively) expensive spool and keep it just for this picky-ass buyer and anybody who wants plenum.

Currently I keep cat5e CCA and cat6 bare copper, both in blue.
