As part of a wave of layoffs, I got laid off from my backend development job last month as the company's financials I was working with have been steadily decreasing. I applied for another job shortly after, and after a month of interviews and an honestly great response from their team, at the last minute, they told me that they were focusing their hiring efforts away from the US and towards Singapore. With Calckey donations, I don't have enough money to pay for rent or groceries. So I'm asking to #GetFediHired, I'm the lead developer on the Calckey project, and I'm a fullstack, multi-language developer. I have 3+ years of enterprise experience, and I work great on teams as well as solo. Resume and references available upon request.
I'm running out of time. If I don't have a job in 6 weeks, I am truly fucked. I'm applying to everything I can find that I'm remotely qualified for, and mostly hearing crickets or "fuck you, we aren't moving forward." I've had two entire interviews since September 8. If you're somewhere that needs a REMOTE (willing to travel to client sites) security analyst/pentester/threat researcher at a senior (or even mid) level and you haven't already posted the position on job sites, please let me know. I am very good at what I do, I just need someone to give me a chance to do it.
Okay Fediverse, as funding is not happening at the levels necessary to sustain me working full-time on the Fediverse (whether that's on trust & safety or on Mastodon), I'm now looking for part-time or contract positions.
Most recently I worked for Sir Tim Berners-Lee's company Inrupt.
Do any friends have a company in Germany that could hire a junior web developer at the moment? Either as a junior or intern?
I've a friend based in Berlin, Germany, who's desperately in need of work so she can retain health insurance and stay in the country, after her last internship fell short of 6 months (company failed).
I was just let go from my job and I’m looking for a new place to land.
If anyone knows of an open role for a Senior QA with 10 years of experience, please let me know.
I have extensive skills in Agile, SDLC, Jira, Confluence, Smoke and regression testing, Postman, documentation and more. I’m in the US (NY) and am looking for something remote / WFH.
Even if you don’t have a role but see this post, PLEASE BOOST IT so someone else may see it. Thank you.
Well, that fucking sucks. I just went into my o3 meeting with the boss and was told that I don't have a job anymore. If anybody is looking for an experienced #vue / #node / #php dev in the #Milwaukee area (or remote), let me know.
There are some really smart and talented people on here following me, and I know some of you are looking for work.
I work part-time at a company that’s looking for a Full-Time technician who is qualified and experienced in maintaining and installing IT and telecommunications equipment, including NBN, CCTV, Phone Systems, Access Control Systems, Digital Radio Communication Systems, and the like.
The job would require moving to Gladstone in Central Queensland, Australia, and the company could assist with that.
Send me a DM if you’re interested, and I’ll get you more details.
Boost for reach, like to trend.

Hello there. So, I never thought I'd ever be using Mastodon for this and its a longshot but I'm looking for a paid job. I'm a senior in College and I'm going to be graduating with a degree in business management in May and I want to be ready. For my skills, I'm well-versed in Microsoft products, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word though Excel is my prefered application considering I wish to work with spreadsheets. Yes, I'm totally blind but that shouldn't be an issue because of #screenreaders and #ADA#accommodations and #RemoteWork. So, if anyone is looking for a dedicated person who genuinely enjoys helping others and working with functions from #statistics to #financial functions using #appliedMath, I am willing to work for you so help me #GetFediHired. Resume will be sent apon request through DM's. Thank you, and boosts are absolutely encouraged.
👷♀️ I can build software for your business (mainly in Rust, but I pick up new things quickly), or help you make sense of your existing software. I’m familiar with networking (I run AS213185 to experiment with BGP, OSPF and such), railway open data, and a bit of embedded stuff too (schematic/PCB design in KiCad, embedded Rust).
🌐 I'm looking for hybrid jobs (not fully remote) in the UK, but I could be tempted away to the Netherlands or Germany for the right role. I'm also open to contracting and part-time projects!
✉️ Send me an email at job@eta.st if you're interested (or want my CV)
Okay, I'd like to again ask for help with finding an IT job. Please boost or share with anyone who might know of openings in the Seattle area or remote. I've been searching for 7 months with no luck, and am now unemployed with savings running out soon.
I'm an IT Systems Admin with 10 years of experience, a bachelor's degree in IT, and Comptia A+, Net+, Security+, and CySA+. I've worked with:
Windows Server 2008-2022
SQL and Windows SQL Server
C#
Printer/Scanners
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Networking and Sonicwall Firewalls
Troubleshooting and Helpdesk, both remotely and on site
And many more general IT fields.
After having another very bad week of job hunting, I could use any help possible to find a decent job in my fields. I've had to deal with 4 recruiter phone calls in a row just today alone that keep trying to throw no-benefit, nearly minimum wage helpdesk jobs at me that would hardly even cover my bills, much less live on. I'm at my wits end, and would greatly appreciate any referrals or such. Anything to get my foot in the door at this point.
I am a software developer and I excel at development with Ruby, though I’d love to have opportunities to work with other technologies (Go/Rust/Swift/…).
Okay. $dayjob has gotten to the point where I need to do something about it.
I'm officially looking for other opportunities in the sysadmin/IT/devops/etc space. I've been a linux/unix sysadmin generalist for ~20 years now and I'd like to apply my considerable skills and experience to the aid of some organization seeking to do good things in the world.
Open to both remote positions but also to relocation. I enjoy having my hands on hardware and fixing problems. And, of course, I'll bring all the retro gaming nerdery with me.
