At some point, my purse became a walking pharmacy. Stomach upset, got a headache? I have you covered. Need bug spray or sunscreen, what about some lotion or hand sanitizer? I've got a snack, and something to freshen your breath.

When I had surgery a few years ago, I had a weight limit of 10 pounds for 3 months! Hubs said he needed to weigh my purse to make sure I could safely carry it. I thought he was joking, turns out it weighed 17 pounds!

Seriously, I can't tell you how many times I needed one of those things and the woman I was with exclaimed "hold on!". I really really appreciated it.

FWIW, a trendy exercise now is to walk with a dumbell in only one hand, but with good posture. It strengthens and stabilizes the core.

You were TRAINING with your 17 pound bag. :-)

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in a relationship?

Mine might sound kind of dark in relation to the question, but here goes:

People change, and they should, it's part of being a person. Some people are lucky, and they change in the same direction, but some don't, and that's okay too. There's no shame in leaving a relationship or changing the nature of a relationship that no longer serves you. We are all taught that every relationship, whether romantic or friendship, is supposed to last forever, but nothing is forever, and forcing something that no longer works, just ends in anger and bitterness. Knowing when to let go is as important as knowing when to hold on through a rough patch, and how to know either of those things is the most cliché advice of all, COMMUNICATE.

What is interesting is so many young white men believe they are entitled to respect by birthright, and when it doesn't go as expected, they act as if society has rejected them, and completely lose their shit. If I murdered several people I would not be making things worse by working with right wing groups and getting my name in the news.

I would change my name, change my look, do my best to be invisible, and carry on with my life trying to do good. He said he wanted to be a nurse.

It still gets me the Bible Jesus is a homeless socialist with brown skin, hangs out with 12 dudes and a Prostitute, tells rich people to pay their taxes and give their wealth to the poor, tells the religious leaders that they need to love everyone equally, gets a whip and goes hog on people using religion to sell stuff, and then straight up gets murdered for these beliefs. Yet somehow churches act like he's some kind of Conservative Haircut in khakis and a button up, who would support cutting welfare programs, and would preach Prosperity Gospel.
