My sister told me that my 15yo niece Indie was embroidering her own sneakers. “Cool,” I said, remembering how I used to doodle on mine. Then they sent me the photos. 🤯 They are STUNNING. Look at that. A TEENAGER DID THAT. 😍🐝🌸 #embroidery#embroidered#converse
Japanese artist Nana Akua photographed her grandmother's embroidery folk art called Temari.
A colourful thread-wrapped & embroidered temari ball is given as a token of love and good luck to family and friends.
I am recovering from a brain tumor and paralysis, living at longterm care/rehab center (unfortunately, pretty bare-bones sucky) while I learn to walk again.
Part of my recovery is to knit - fine motor skills! But my stash is utterly pathetic, as is my bank account.
If you have a bit of yarn to spare from your stash, could you send me a ball or skein? Thank you greatly for your donation! Address follows. 🙏🧶💞
So, my #embroidery project about The Sentinel video game is finally completed!

"Over 160 hours of sewing in this 18-inch aerial embroidery - ' A peaceful place (somewhere out there)', 2022. I miss it sometimes! A lot of patience went into all those knots and stitches 💚 but I have another 18-inch planned now :D"
I'm looking to pay an #embroidery#artist to convert a graphic into a layered #digital embroidery file. This is for baseball hats I'm going to gift to my grad school classmates & teachers at graduation this year. I'll need the file BY MARCH so I can send off to my local embroidery shop.
I know translating an image into embroidery is a true artform. I really need your creative expertise & skills.
And it's a wrap on my very first #embroidery project. I did a lot of mistakes. I posted a close-up photo so they can be ogled and hopefully, learned from (what not to do).
I have 3 patterns awaiting to be embroidered and I'm going to draw from a hat tomorrow what to do next. Here's to getting better at it!💪
PS.
Please allow me to title and put a hashtag/counter on each finished work so I can see them all in a hashtag click.
#WIPwednesday • I finished the trigeminal nerve and am now working on the masseteric and mandibular nerves. Still all in single strand chain stitch. #SciArt#embroidery#VagusNerve
"I'll just put a podcast on and do a bit of sewing" is what I thought hours ago. It got slightly out of hand! 😂 Mostly I was covering small holes with leaves and connecting them.
This is the prototype button down shirt I made from an old pillowcase and bit of old sheet, so I thought I'd do a wearable sampler to try out different things. No great loss if I didn't like it, etc.
