#WIPWednesday • I finished the burgundy roiling and added small black French knots to the abdomen area and am now extending the nerve endings of the diaphragm. This might be the last section of this #VagusNerve#embroidery! #SciArt#MastoArt
Scientists have identified cells in the brainstem that sense immune cues from the periphery of the body and act as master regulators of the body’s inflammatory response, a finding that could lead to treatments for autoimmune diseases and other conditions caused by an excessive immune response.

Depletion of serotonin disrupts gut-to-brain communication, which can cause Neurological sx “brain fog” & impaired memory. As resulting in LC through a pathway that originates in the gut & leads to #serotonin reduction. #Vagusnerve connects with gut & uses the neurotransmitter serotonin to communicate and regulate many biological & neurological functions

As of today I’ve finished the main research for my next #embroidery piece, this very large #VagusNerve . I did an audio course on polyvagal theory to gain some experiential knowledge of my own neuroception. Next step is to write some poetic text. In the meantime I need to finish my liver embroidery before I start stitching this one. #SciArt
