Neither BBC News nor any other British broadcast media gave any coverage of the HUGE Rejoin EU demonstration in London yesterday. This is a combination of state editorial control (BBC bosses are Tory party donors), media mogul control (more Tory party donors) and news being an advertising business, not a public service.

Ironically we have to leave it to France state news channel to report on it.

Russia is losing around 500 soldiers per day.

What is really staggering is, that number corresponds to a loss of 182,500 young Russian men per year.

That is how much Putin does not care about his own population.

@randahl Putin is, effectively, not only invading a neighbour but also getting a load of ethnic cleansing and eugenics in there for good measure. Those men sent to the front come from prisons and "troublesome" outlying regions of russia. Not from the "nice" population in Moscow & Saint Petersburg.

Great idea, but €5 is too little. €50 seems more reasonable. €200 for non-EU citizens. That should go some way to paying for works to try and keep the city from disappearing under the sea.

Regarding “back to the office”: Why is the commute the employee’s burden anyway? Make it part of the work time and have at it requiring people to come to the office. Three hours commute? You get 5 hours in the office.

Employees are available immediately at home but if they’ve required in the office, the clock starts when they leave home. You rent their time, your choice to spend it on travel.

@finestructure Good point. In another company HR was in the process of making the case for firing me because they were cutting costs & headcount. I worked remote (per contract) & had quite the argument with HR about this. HR complained that I was expensive in time and travel to bring in for onsite team meetings. Their example was "Hey, the CEO flies back home from Chicago to his home in Florida every weekend ON HIS OWN DIME!" Yeah, like an EU worker without staff was a good comparison. #nokia

A long time ago it was a snappy rebel browser that took the Internet by storm.

Today it's worse than IE ever was, tracking your browsing habits and sharing them with advertisers even if you take efforts to protect your privacy. It's all opt-out too.

The EU is making drinking water standards even tighter. Which is great, hopefully water will soon be drinkable straight from the tap in all of . Cos right now it's a postcode lottery e.g.: most of province - 😋 yum I'll have another glass, most of - 🤢 what fresh hell is this?

At the beginning of Russia's offensive against Ukraine last year there was a lot of talk about sanctions and, in particular, pursuing the oligarchs.

I'm not noticing anything at all about this in the news recently. Nothing, zip, nada.

I can only presume that the oligarchs have been mildly inconvenienced & are continuing to live their lives of debauchery without further hassle?

A little digging shows that the #oligarchs continue to live a life of luxury in London, buying holiday homes in Thailand and freely travelling between the two in their private jets.

Meanwhile Russia continues to do big exports to the West (gemstones & precious metals) and big Western companies still operate in Russia (#Unilever, #Nestlé, #Auchun, #leroymerlin, etc.)

This is my experience of British immigrants in Spain who voted for #Brexit. People with no capacity for critical thinking. They voted for Brexit "because of the immigrants". Now they themselves lost their EU privileges, duh!

They were told both lies AND the truth & they chose the lies. Because they're idiots.

On the plus side EU has become an even nicer place to be because it's now less likely that you'll hear people like Greg from Winchester sounding off about the immigrants in UK.

Driving around in cars with UK plates
Not registering as resident nor on the census list
Not doing Spanish tax returns
Not learning even a word of Spanish
Driving on UK driving licenses
Using EHIC (emergency)health card for chronic complaints

Etc., etc., etc.

Is it just me or do other #EV drivers think of their regular routes in terms of kWh rather than km? I have one regular 12kWh route and another that needs 20kWh. My old Nissan LEAF only has, at most, 30kWh "on a full tank".

I have only taken it below 20% charge a couple of times.

    2. how much you pay depends on each employer
    3. it costs anywhere from $0 to $25,000 annually to insure your family
    4. you get TONS of mail after each and every visit and you learn how to ignore the first three "bills" that arrive until the "real" bill shows up of what you actually pay

    Thanks to those who voted for #Brexit the British economy has tanked & is getting worse. There's no money now for the famous free-to-all National Health Service.

    This neatly paves the way for the "only solution" which is the US American insurance based system. This is exactly what #Brexit supporters like Nigel Farage and Arron Banks were dreaming of.
