Loch Shiel at Glenfinnan in the Western Scottish Highlands and another example of being in the right place at the right time to catch a burst of autumnal sunshine, highlighting the colours of the season. Sometimes, luck is on your side!
A rant about leaf blowers. Just stop with them. Gas ones spew CO2 and particulates at an alarming rate, they’re the definition of noise pollution, and they disturb insect habitat under your hedges. But they’re also just not that good at getting leaves together. Here’s the thing that no blower guy will tell you, but every SE Asian grandma knows: the best way to get leaves off your hard surfaces is this tool right here. 1/3 #gardening#GardeningMastodon#insects#biodiversity#Autumn#FallColors
I’m fortunate that on dark days in the world I can get out in nature to try to find a moment to reflect. This was mine today that I’d like to share. And I always look forward to seeing the pictures you share that bring a moment of peace. #nature#wildlife#photography#autumn#trees
A few small patches of bioluminescent ghost fungus (Omphalotus nidiformis) out at Corunna, NSW after recent east coast low rains. Took a couple of photos just before midnight under pale moonlight.
This is one of my absolute stunners. I have it also printed on my wall here. Everything was perfect that day. Truly one of the best things that could happen to me
I'm sorry, but I'll post it repeatedly here because I just love it sooo much
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And I can just recommend printing it! ;-)
Evening all how are you? I just went to Lister park in Bradford this afternoon. So glad I did as i came across this little stream. Thankfully I had my wellies in the car as I had to stand in the stream to shoot this. Even better there wasnt' a breath of wind so shot this at 1second #autumn#fall#landscape#yorkshire#westyorkshire#photo#photography#sony#bradford
Two giant ancient oak trees in their autumn colours on a muggy morning.
The tree in the background is a good 700 years old and may be up to 1000 years old. I'm not sure how old the tree in the foreground is, but it won't be much younger.
