I havent posted for a while, though not been out too much and of course the weather hasn't been great! I did take this on the way to the office yesterday so although not great its probably the best i've taken this year to date! Shows how bad things have been ;)
For the first time in almost a month the sun came out for sunset! Weather over christmas has been rubbish at best and though cold yesterday, actually seeing the sun was rather nice! This is the view over Cragg View (which has the longest continuous climbing road in the UK, at 5.6 miles !) Evening all I hope you've had a good day today ? Calling it a night, been a long day. I've been reviewing this year. thankfully it was better than last (not difficult since I've not had a heart attack this year, to date) But i was looking how my photos have changed to previous years. Are they better or worse? I'm not sure. Some I like, others I don't as much. I probably don't feel as comfortable as I used to do behind a camera though wish I knew why!
Anyway, I hope my enthusiasm will come back along with a better sense of composition, thats my new years wish anyway!

Another from the weekend. by late afternoon the mist was moving it, the cold was getting more biting and light was falling. I shot this, I had in my head this image in mono but, when i converted it and worked on it I realised that colour was better and better reflected the scene as i saw it. #snow#winter#bradford#yorkshire#westyorkshire#photo#photography#path#track
A very different image to the normal ones I take. I went for a walk from the hotel and passed this. I was really drawn firstly by the bright yellow side of the house then the bright red contrasting phone box. the shadow seemed to split the components of the window, phone and seat nicely and so i had to take this. Whether its worked is subjective but I like it myself anyways :)

Yesterday I went into more local woodland (Heaton woods) to see what colours there were. It didn't look too bad really. This road is very narrow but used to be busy. However the counciled close it a couple of years ago and now won't reopen it which is great news and nice to walk along it in quietness #autumn#fall#bradford#yorkshire#road#landscape#photo#photography
@johnl hi John. Yes it could be one reason why they closed it. Like you say there's no fly tipping and nature is slowly consuming the road and so it's a good thing they closed it :)
