I just finished Scavengers Reign, an animated sci-fi series. It was so inventive. Quiet, even when chaotic. And filled with an imaginative ecosystem of plants and wildlife. The illustration style is also rad. Very 60s.

I’m really bummed it didn’t get tapped for a second season. Though Netflix is teasing at the idea. So maybe?

Anyway, the first season is SO worth your time. Even if it ends there.

Frank Ocean’s “Blonde” is one of my favorite records. I have special love for the song “Solo,” which is deep and soulful.

I’ve been wondering about the record’s name. It’s listed in text as “Blonde,” while the cover art labels it as “Blond.”

I thought perhaps it was intended to create controversy for attention. But there may be other reasons. The Atlantic wrote up an interesting take:

It’s inherently infuriating about having an unmasked healthcare worker ask you if you’ve experienced COVID symptoms while checking you in for an appointment.

Well, for your sake I fucking hope not! Why even ask me?

What if I say “yes”? How will my experience change? Are you gonna send me home? Suddenly put on a mask?

What if I DO have COVID and say “no”? Sucks for you, I guess, because my COVID is flying over to you right now.

Giving people some water and/or a granola bar while they’re waiting in a long line to vote isn’t going to sway their choices. Banning it is voter suppression, especially in areas where Republicans try harder and harder to make it difficult for people to vote.
