My 13 year old daughter is trying to raise some funds to pay for own ice skating birthday party and Etsy banned our attempts to setup a store (even with my wife’s credentials - don’t get it) so we posted on TradeMe. But seems TradeMe isn’t the easiest to sell #handmade#crafts and #crochet as she’s had zero views.
Many will tell you to use a larger hook size then you would for regular crochet to combat the curling that Tunisian crochet is prone to, at least with some of the stitch variations such as the Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS) showcased in these images.
Saw this on Instagram and had to track down the pattern. I really love the colours used in this sample.
Think it would be a perfect way to use up all those left-over yarn from old projects.

Hey Mastodon, does anyone know of and love a general purpose, actually printed craft magazine? I’d love for it to have a variety of #crafts from #sewing to #PaperMache to whatever else, be for adults, not more ads than content, and magically appear at my house regularly. I get Taproot which is close but is domestic crafts rather than a broader range. It seems like so many are focused on a niche, like #weaving. Maybe I’m the only person who wants this? I made a thing 😊 A medal for myself based on a Bronze Age Minoan seal. Original CMS IV 257, found in Malia. Dated LM I-II (so... roughly 3500 years old). It was red jasper so I used a red background. I think it's a crane, though the original publication just said "bird" 😅
Here's the thing, I'm not an artist or anything. But I love Minoan seal designs, and I think it is a travesty they're not more popular in souvenir terms, so I decided to get crafty 😄
