I’ve found rather unusual house number. The street is not infinite so I guess you need to approach ♾️ asymptotically. :-)

I am looking for a post-doc to work with me on application for thermonuclear fusion plasmas. We want to use generative AI models to fill the gaps in existing image datasets and to help able to improve real-time control mechanisms. Sounds exciting? Apply! https://www.ipp.mpg.de/job-49bb2918863ec0a96b217258beca4dcf

I used to buy books at Amazon, but now I completely stopped doing it. The beauty of browsing books in a local bookstore is that you are not controlled by algorithms. I bought already quite a few books, which I discovered randomly in a bookstore. I almost always enjoyed them.

I've reached a point where I really enjoy reading books in German. There is so much to discover in German literature, especially contemporary books, which give me a unique perspective on things. I am still and always will be Polish at heart, but seeing things differently allows me still to grow.

My great, wide, beautiful world - by Juanita Harrison

Juanita Harrison (1887-1967) was an African-American woman who published her travel memoirs in 1936. She spoke several languages and was determined to see all kinds of interesting places and meet interesting people. She took on various jobs along the way to finance her journeys.

I love this book because it is cheerful and funny and filled to the brim with love for life. Also, best title ever.

Again in Japan after more than 10 years. Great to be here again. I start immediately with my favorites. 😃

„alverde“ ist ja so eine Art Product-Placement-Magazin des Drogeriemarkts dm, aber ungefähr mit der doppelten Auflage des Spiegels. Dass sie da auch (und ganz unentgeltlich) einen gewissen nerdigen Nischenpodcast bewerben, ist mein schönstes Nikolausgeschenk. 😍 @astro_geo

(1/2) Holy 🐮, did you know there is a Grammarly extension to VScode?!? 📚📖📒

TIL that there is a extension to plug in to VScode that enables text editing directly on VScode. I started to use Grammarly when I wrote my first book, and since then, this is my go-to app for text editing. I used VScode as and editor, and so far, I had to do a ton of copy-paste between VScode and Grammarly. Hopefully, now, this extension will make this process more efficient. 👇🏼

It's 6:30am, I'm in Singapore Airport and Mastodon, do I have a story for YOU.

It all began... with an asteroid grain. Again.

    elizabethtasker,
    @elizabethtasker@mastodon.online avatar

A bag scan was needed at the Singapore gate.

    My laptop slid through.

    The model slid through.

And then came the case containing the asteroid sample.

    “What is this?”

    I took a deep breath.

    “It is… an asteroid sample.”

I waited. My hand inched towards my laptop with hours of presentations on Hayabusa2.

    “Huh. OK.”

The attendant turned to her colleague.

“It’s an asteroid,” she said in a tone that implied they’d seen 72 others in the last week alone. Just a chip from outer space. Again.
