Due to my new position, I am interacting a lot with Ukrainian #fusion scientists. After today's meeting, I was heartbroken and in awe of the heroism of the Ukrainian scientists who are repairing their reactor damaged by Russian aggression. This was in one of the slides.

I used to buy books at Amazon, but now I completely stopped doing it. The beauty of browsing books in a local bookstore is that you are not controlled by algorithms. I bought already quite a few books, which I discovered randomly in a bookstore. I almost always enjoyed them.
I have also an ebook reader (Pocketbook Era - fantastic device), but here I buy mostly ebooks from Poland. This is one of the perks of living in XXI century.
I've reached a point where I really enjoy reading books in German. There is so much to discover in German literature, especially contemporary books, which give me a unique perspective on things. I am still and always will be Polish at heart, but seeing things differently allows me still to grow.
Las bukowy na przedwiośniu. Nad Bałtykiem wiosna nie spieszy się. Jako Ślązak nie mogę się przyzwyczaić, że Wielkanoc jest zawsze bez zielonych liści, przynajmniej na krzewach.
@Smrki Slavic languages are similar but not that much. :) I wrote that I moved from southern Poland to northern Germany. I cannot get used to later spring here.

I attended last week IAEA Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Accelerating Fusion, where we tried to cross-pollinate fusion AI with knowledge from other fields. One of the best workshops I attended - just 8 long talks a day and fantastic poster sessions. Among many, there was a great talk by @DrVeronikaCH, sadly we could not meet in person. Even Italian energy concern ENI took part in the workshop. :)
