About Signal… One more time… Forcing people to verify one of their xkeyscore strong selectors (their MSISDN, i.e. „phone number“) in order to use a service is a bad idea. Nudging them constantly to volunteer their phone‘s contact list - on top of already getting access to their social graph of verified contacts - is even worse. @wink I only use it rarely and on a disposable phone with a bogus MSISDN and almost every time i start the app I get this, including the borderline abusive „not now“ dark pattern. It’s one disgusting piece of work.

@holgi …und bei den wenigen Orten wo Preis und Umgebung stimmt, fällt bei näherer Betrachtung auf, dass man sowas wie „medizinische Versorgung“ in seinem nicht mehr ganz jugendlichen Leichtsinn nicht im Blick hat. Dann fällt der Ort wieder raus.

@1977er Nee. Geht ja prinzipbedingt nicht. Bin bei termius und mosh gelandet, vor allem weil das in der Lage ist, Keys im secure enclave zu erzeugen und nicht nur welche zu importieren.

Mein Eindruck ist, dass gerade etwas ganz ähnliches passiert wie am Ende der römischen Republik. Reichtum ist so stark konzentriert, dass Akteure mit ihm die staatlichen Institutionen aushöhlen und für ihre eigenen Zwecke nutzen. Der Kontext ist anders, aber die Gefahr für die Republik ist die gleiche.
