Virginia GOP banning fiction novels about slavery because they’re allegedly traumatic to white kids but renaming their schools to Confederate terrorists despite their documented trauma on Black kids, aren't protecting children or education, they're protecting white supremacy.

America was built on slavery. With slave labor and rich resources with a thin population, the country prospered very quickly in the early years.

Those who profited from slavery and their descendants are very much the social and political oligarchs today. They have incidentally congregated in the Republican party with Trump.

People who rap the benefit, the majority population won't speak the truth.

    It is simply a demand vs supply economics of hacking world.

    We will always have state-sponsored hackers and then American civil servants will scramble to fix. In the meantime some politicians in the Republican camp will collect commission from rogue states.

    2. China wants to grab #Taiwan.
    3. China also wants to grab the island administered by Japan.
    4. If Russia and China flex their muscles, it is difficult for the US to do anything effectively to deter them, which is what they are playing.
    5. Russia has a broader interest in world dominance.
    6. Both countries are waiting eagerly for 2024 US election if the #Republican can grab the White House.

    So here’s a question to ponder:

    If Trump knew ahead of time that the FBI was planning a false flag operation to look like Republicans were trying to stop the counting of electoral votes…then why did he order all of the people at his rally —knowing that most of them were carrying weapons of some sort — to head over to the Capitol, to fulfill the FBI’s scheme?

    Our understanding of the workings of the human body is abysmal even today. Our doctors only do bandaid treatments for most diseases.

    Some examples are almost comical. Most older people in the US suffer from #hypertension. And the cause is often not known. So, the doctors coined new terms like essential or primary hypertension.

    Then there is the #cancer research. The doctors really have no clue about the root causes. E.g., why does the genetic mutation happen?

    There is no problem in coexisting. Stop the fighting. The problem is that the US has poured money in Israel to continue its atrocities. All Israel had to do was to blunt the terrorism, and engineer a two state solution. But Bibi kept funding the Hamas so that Palestinians can never get a voice.

    COVID is often described as a cold due to similarities with common cold these days for the vast majority of people. It is a layman's term. Not scientific. Fortunately, we are no longer losing millions of people.

    However, most educated people know that it is a respiratory virus. And the virus has unique signatures to do longer term damages in human organs notwithstanding the fact that it looks like a common cold nowadays.

    A military enlistment office outside Moscow has ordered Bohdan Ermokhin to report when he turns 18 next month. The thing about Bohdan is that he was deported to Russia from Mariupol last year. He’s one of the kids Putin relocated from Ukraine.

    Bohdan’s lawyer says he could be drafted into the army, though the boy’s official guardian in Russia says the summons is only to verify his data and that he has a student draft exemption. The guardian also notes, for some reason, that conscripts aren’t sent into combat. Uh, okay.

    Actually, what you are referring to is not AI. AI has been used for decades starting from very primitive form.

    The problem is with LLM (Large Language Model). Although, crazy errors are less common these days. It is improving but can never be perfect by definition of how it is built.

    I don’t get it. Biden has done a fantastic job as president and seen us through some of the toughest times in recent history. The economy is strong, unemployment is at 60-year lows, inflation is tamed. But there are people calling for that youngster to drop out? (I have 6 years on him…) Why aren’t they calling on the guy who’s been indicted in four places and charged 91 times to drop out?
