A western diplomat I recently met in #Indonesia mentioned how frustrated he gets that actions by individual residents
in their country, like burning a Quran (terrible, but ones that, in a democracy government cannot stop), cause mass protests & huge headaches for them around the world, while the widespread destruction of Mosques, criminalizing #Islam & closing ancient #Muslim shrines by the #Chinese government gets a pass.
