Good job McGill! #Legault will realize really quickly that #Québec has some very wealthy anglo donors.

McGill University is launching a $3,000 Canada Award to offset tuition increases for Canadian undergraduate students from outside Quebec in certain disciplines. Approximately 80% of new Canadian students from outside Quebec coming to McGill will be eligible for the new award.

[...] The award will be guaranteed as an offset on increased tuition for up to four years.

Remember Conservative leader Pierre #Poilievre's threatening comments when he recently declared Quebec mayors were incompetent?

👉 More than 20% of the municipal mayors and councillors elected in #Quebec in the last election have quit. Nearly 800 officials have stepped down citing the hostile political climate.

New instance, new #introduction!

I'm a woman in my 30s. I was born in #Québec City, I moved to #Vancouver for my first real job as a #translator and, a few years ago, I moved to #Ottawa with my husband so we could afford a house.

I mostly write in English, but don't hesitate to toot at me in #français!

I've worked in multiple fields... my favourite were my years with Library and Archives #Canada, which I absolutely loved. I now work in #agriculture.

I love #videogames, mostly #FFXIV right now. I have an #ebike. I love #books and #cooking. I miss #travel.

I'm very much pro (vaccine, science, choice, mask, etc.).

Come say hi 👋

Far Right Projection strikes again.

Your typical nazi is not very imaginative, so when they accuse other people of doing a terrible thing, it's based on their own lived experience.

So when they accuse other people of being sex criminals......well you know the score.

"A regional agency in Alberta has banned oil and gas operations from using its treated water, as a severe drought parching Western Canada leads municipalities to prepare restriction plans."

RT: Our group from Dalhousie University in Halifax recently lost contact with a buoy that was monitoring seismic activity in the St. Lawrence River. The last position report had it offshore Mont-Joli, being blown south-west towards Rimouski. We think it may have washed up on shore. We are offering a $5000 reward to anyone who finds this instrument and brings it back to UQAR or some other storage site from where we can retrieve it. Graeme.Cairns@dal.ca
