Last year, the source code of the 1995 #Playstation game wipEout was leaked online.
A developer painfully went through the source code and... rewrote everything to provide a "remastered" version that works on Windows, Mac and #Linux and that you can also play in your browser thanks to #WASM !

It's a huge open world experience, available in VR (but not required), in a retro-futuristic cyberpunk slum. Hundreds of crimes and stories to solve, lots of places to explore, AI companions to get, the flying car, tons more....
:playstation: Interesting - Sony has been using Flickr to host (and "hotlink") images on the official Playstation Blog since 2007. Which seems like a unusual hosting choice for a multinational media conglomerate 🤔
The good news: If you ever need some Playstation game backgrounds, promo images etc. - here are the 54.835 images used on the PS blog since 2007 neatly sorted into albums. There is some cool stuff!
This is the Logitech Cordless Action Controller, a wireless pad for the #PlayStation 2, and it hides a puzzle I need your help to solve.
For every forum thread calling this the best controller ever, there's another complaining it doesn't connect to its receiver. I think either the controllers or receivers are failing over time.
Do you/did you have one? Does it sync, does it not? What are its model/part numbers? Send photos!
New post: Sony is deleting purchased PlayStation videos from customers' libraries, in a reminder that DRM sucks. Also: what are the alternatives to buying digital videos?
I just found this lovely Reverse Engineered port of the Playstation version of Doom, and it's really well made.
It's my favorite console port, and it was weirdly different : It has colored lights, merges Doom 1 and Doom II into a giant game, with mobs from Doom 2 in Episode 1, and subtle changes here and there.
It has new special sounds and music, and so it hits different. Feels much more like a tense horror game.

Just me and my mount at a campfire site.
Doing a quest line now, after which I'll save (if I find another campfire) and then I'll hit the treadmill for a walk.
Main quest at the moment is "the Dying Lands".
I saw a lot of hype / skepticism for the newly announced Blade Runner game, and just want to mention that there's already a pretty incredible Blade-Runner-inspired game, LOW-FI, releasing later this year. (www.youtube.com)
