I have a server running on my NAS. I want to access the calendars on it from Calendar. How to achieve this? I haven't found anything neither in Calendar itself nor in "Online Accounts" section in the Settings.

I found an old blog post from 2016 mentioning having to install to do this:

On a continué l'amélioration de l'interface https://mesaidesreno.beta.gouv.fr, notamment en prenant en compte les bugs et incompréhensions remontées.

Le calculateur reste en beta et limité à MaPrimeRénov' dans un premier temps. Ensuite viendront aides locales, CEE, etc.

S'il vous semble intéressant n'hésitez pas à le partager :)

@maeool ce qui est dommage, c'est que ce procédé qui part d'un bon sentiment s'est vite transformé en usine à gaz ingérable et pour les fonctionnaires, et pour les bénéficiaires potentiels. Le nombre d'histoires d'horreur sur Reddit et la prolifération d'entreprises de service dont un des seuls buts est de s'occuper des démarches administratives le prouve...

Je sais déjà que, futur propriétaire devant effectuer des tonnes de rénovation, je n'aurai droit à aucune aide. C'est dommage.

@maeool non : je suis Français de l'étranger, mais je rentre m'installer en France cet été.

Après quelques allers-retours entre France Renov et le centre des impôts, les deux entités se rejettent la faute et me disent qu'il faudrait que j'attende au moins jusqu'à l'été 2025, voire peut-être même 2026 pour effectuer ma demande. Cela voudrait dire louer un logement pendant 1 ou 2 ans supplémentaires pour espérer obtenir quelques milliers d'euros... Mauvais calcul.

@charles @maeool oui j'ai contacté l'ALEC qui ne sait pas parce que je suis un cas à part (Français de l'étranger rentrant définitivement en France cet été). Je peux toujours faire la demande, mais il est clair qu'elle sera refusée parce que je suis un sale (Français de l') étranger 😂

I'm back! Borked my laptop by upgrading to the recent 24.04 beta. Looks like the upgrade process removed/disabled drivers, and for a while I was left with looking at a plain non-GUI shell, which required an actual real-life magnifying glass, because of my HiDPI display!

Now it's operational again with built-in drivers, but I still want to figure out how to bring the AMD 3-rd part drivers back and restore OpenCL support.

@isagalaev ugh... For AMD proprietary drivers, imyafrqid you have jumped ships way too early. I'm sure 24.04 will be supported (but what GPUs, no idea), but I think you'll have to way a few months after the proper release of 24.0 before AMD releases anything (that's usually how it happens).

If your project is #MIT, #BSD or #Apache #FOSS, you are now probably one of the bad guys.

If you don't know why this is bad: #Redis

Same for contributing to projects with permissive licensing.

As copyright owner of a project you can be a good guy again: switch to #GPL

Also stop contributing to other projects that won't switch, after politely explaining why you have a problem with their #licensing.

And avoid using those projects when you can.

@happyborg Redis is not really a problem because of the license, it's a problem because of the CLA that allowed the company behind Redis to "pull the rug" under every contributor's feet.

I'm wondering if that's a coincidence, but the sound “jia” in Mandarin can be written 假, meaning... “fake”.

N'oublions pas que l'issue de l'invasion par la Russie de l'Ukraine aura de lourdes conséquence en Asie.

La Chine n'est pas dans une position militaire et diplomatique si différente que la Russie par rapport à l'Ukraine avant les invasions.

L'armée chinoise est allée jusqu'à créer un décor d’entrainement qui reproduit le quartier du palais présidentiel Taïwanais.

@maeool heureusement, entre la Chine et Taïwan, il y a un détroit maritime qui rend les manœuvres d'invasion assez limitées, contrairement aux champs de patates qui séparent la Russie de l'Ukraine...

Et même si l'armée chinoise arrive à mettre un pied à Taiwan, il faudra ensuite maintenir la logistique pour nourrir les soldats (parce que je ne pense pas qu'il y aura beaucoup de Taiwanais prêts à nourrir l'ennemi...)

LLM (my CLI tool for working with Large Languge Models, both API-based and locally-hosted) version 0.13 is out

Some thoughts on learning Taiwanese.

Why am I learning Taiwanese?

  1. My family's 'native' language is Hokkien (I also speak Teochew better, but it's related so I see it as similar)

  2. We are from Singapore / Malaysia, where there has been zero opportunities to learn to read / write Hokkien

  3. Hokkien is 100% an oral tradition in SE Asia

  4. In recent years I've been watching with interest, the resurgent movement to read / write / speak Taiwanese, in Taiwan

@skinnylatte super interesting thoughts, thanks! I learned Mandarin Chinese in Taipei (NTNU), and they had Minnan classes as well, but I quickly realized:

  1. Learning one completely new kind of language (Mandarin) is already tough
  2. There was no formal romanization (that was back in 2006)
  3. No one in Taiwan (apart from scholars) reads or write Taiwanese

Showing romanized Minnan to a Taiwanese is like showing them romanized Mandarin: they have no idea what it means!
