I should be able to follow #Cara users from my Mastodon account. You can't convince me to make yet another account in a yet another silo, but I'd love to see and share more art in my home feed. Anyone have a connection to their team? Would love to chat about the #fediverse.

People on ActivityPub-powered platforms like Mastodon, and Bluesky, which uses the AT Protocol, can now follow each other, see posts, like, reply, and repost them, thanks to the work of @snarfed.org@snarfed.org, creator of Bridgy Fed. @Sarahp interviewed him for Tech Crunch about the future of bridging networks, how to bridge your account from the fediverse to Bluesky, and what to expect when you do.
Reminder: #Fediverse#Developer Network meetup in about 12 hours: Wednesday June 5th at 9:00am pacific.
You are all invited, particularly if you are a #developer new to ActivityPub and the #fediverse, or if you have an existing implementation and are interested in the first round of test results from @feditest!
Friends of #BSDCafe and the #Fediverse, for those who may not have heard, we recently lost Mike Karels - @karels - a truly significant figure in the history of our favorite operating systems. Among our BSD Cafe community, we have his niece - @kristin_charlotte
Let's show her family our warmth and gratitude for the role he played.
Taking some personal days to re-evaluate stuff and think about the future of Operation: Puppet.
The more time that passes, the more I want to invest my time in the #fediverse and the #indieweb. I have a tiny following here but the corpo web is such a dystopian steel wall that at least here there’s a path forward for regular folks.
The Apostles, St. Andrews Cathedral, Honolulu. Currently, 6 of the 12 are featured. I could only find the names of 4, Andrew, Peter, John & James. If you know the other two, please let me know.
> "In late 2022, I blogged about the work needed to develop a specification for end-to-end encryption for the #fediverse. I sketched out some of the key management components on GitHub, and then the public work abruptly stalled. A few of you have wondered what’s the deal with that. This post covers why this effort stalled, what I’m proposing we do next."
Hi Ernest - hope everything is going well and that you are in good health.
Many of us on #kbin have been unable to log on or view content for about a week now. Have you identified the problem and made a plan to restore the site?
I also want to thank you for all your hard work. Personally, Kbin is my preferred #fediverse platform. I can’t imagine how much work goes into keeping it running.
