We're the official Mastodon page for the USS Albacore Museum!

The USS ALBACORE (AGSS 569) is an experimental built in 1953. Designed with an innovative teardrop hull form, she serves as the prototype for all modern-day submarines in the . In 1986 she was dry-locked at and was officially opened to the public!

Come take a tour and visit our , gift shop, and memorial garden dedicated to those lost at sea. We look forward to meeting you!

@albacorepark We should start naming USN submarines after fish again.

Just finished having fun playing ch.1 of Vecna Eve of Ruin!

DM Tom dramatically increased the # of monsters in the text's laughable challenge for 10th-level PCs. Does WotC lack any idea of how much damage 10th-level PCs deliver or do the designers simply see these combats as a chance for PCs for flaunt their power?

Tim_Eagon,
@Tim_Eagon@dice.camp avatar

@dmdavid what were the original encounters vs. the revised ones like?

What are your favorite ADVENTURES that have come out in the last year or so? I feel like I've missed the latest crop of them and need to catch up. Plug your own too!

@eldritchmouse If you're into , Warped Beyond Recognition by @quadra is awesome. One of the best adventures I've read in the past year.

I think it's kind of weird how front and center the 80s D&D cartoon characters are in the artwork for the 2024 revisions when the majority of 5e fans weren't even alive when they aired.

Tim_Eagon,
@Tim_Eagon@dice.camp avatar

@Craig IDK, maybe they're more popular now with fans under 40 since they're more accessible via free streaming sites.

Tim_Eagon,
@Tim_Eagon@dice.camp avatar

@Craig Facebook and microblogging like Twitter, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon are for the olds, so says my daughter.

Tim_Eagon,
@Tim_Eagon@dice.camp avatar

@ubergrog yeah, you'd think that the majority of older players wanting to play 5e have already been attracted. I guess to attract them back?

Tim_Eagon,
@Tim_Eagon@dice.camp avatar

@taichara @kenmarable IDK, if they were going launch the cartoons again or some other related media, you'd think they would've announced that already to try to synergize the releases. That said, WotC is really bad at that.

At auction I would say this embalmbed corpse of Lenin would fetch somewhere between 1800 to 5000 dollars.

You realize that if you had the original packaging you would get far more.

I didn't think Kyrie was capable of getting his shit together and start playing at his level consistently again. I was proven wrong.

It's amazing what happens when you stop native american incense burning and other bullshit antics. He used to be my favorite player until he stopped playing basketball and decided to educate the world on society issues, and failed miserably. Maybe he is mentally right again.

Tim_Eagon,

@laimis He probably watched Aaron Rodgers and thought to himself "Is this how think of me?"

@Subumbral It's pretty cool. I wish I could get a decent picture of the raptors (we got eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, and owls around here), but they're too fast and too far away. There's a particularly noisy red tail hawk that is always keening. Always!
