Loch Shiel at Glenfinnan in the Western Scottish Highlands and another example of being in the right place at the right time to catch a burst of autumnal sunshine, highlighting the colours of the season. Sometimes, luck is on your side!
Hello everyone
This my first post on Mastodon. I'm really excited to join.
I am a French professional photographer and digital artist, and I hope you will like my work.
This is Bøsdalafossur waterfall, the outlet from Sørvágsvatn lake in the Faroe Islands.
The lake sits 40m above sea level, surrounded by cliffs that hem it in, and looks for all the world like it's warped spacetime to inhabit this position.
I got up very early to photograph the sunrise from the local mountain top (Glander, 1883 m). It was a hard hike up in the dark to get there in time. Unfortunately it was very hazy and the sunrise was behind clouds, but the view was still worth it.
Edinburgh (overlooking the Water of Leith) in autumn. Picture taken with an oldish phone from the top deck of the bus, sorry for the quality. I thought it looked like a painting. #scotland#landscape#photography#Edinburgh
Heading off for the evening, and leaving you with one of the most Scottish photos I have, to compensate for having had a bit of a moan and spread my annoyance around earlier.
Have the best of cows standing in front of our biggest mountain, with sun shining while the rain hammers down.
This morning's sunrise was worth getting up for. It was fantastic. I also found a place on Lake Superior near my house that I haven't spent much time photographing. I found a bunch of new compositions and features to photograph during the next month while the sun is aligned correctly.
This is one of my absolute stunners. I have it also printed on my wall here. Everything was perfect that day. Truly one of the best things that could happen to me
I'm sorry, but I'll post it repeatedly here because I just love it sooo much
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And I can just recommend printing it! ;-)
And here we are again. Continuing with my "Pristine Winter" collection. I just had gotten my new camera and lenses the days before and was totally eager to get out ... and that day it just had snowed. -- no colors any more. I was a bit ... well. I had to replan. go for black&white, structures, patterns, shapes only.
Two giant ancient oak trees in their autumn colours on a muggy morning.
The tree in the background is a good 700 years old and may be up to 1000 years old. I'm not sure how old the tree in the foreground is, but it won't be much younger.
Gullfoss is one of Iceland's most iconic natural landmarks. Two distinct drops, the first dropping 36 feet, the 2nd plunging 69 feet into the canyon below on the Hvítá River.
Evening all how are you? I just went to Lister park in Bradford this afternoon. So glad I did as i came across this little stream. Thankfully I had my wellies in the car as I had to stand in the stream to shoot this. Even better there wasnt' a breath of wind so shot this at 1second #autumn#fall#landscape#yorkshire#westyorkshire#photo#photography#sony#bradford
