Pinnacles of Meteora, Greece are a stunning testament to nature & the ingenuity of man. A stunning landscape that will leave you without words. Perched atop several of these monoliths are a complex of monasteries as if suspended in air. Imagine building on a freestanding pinnacle, ropes, ladders & nets in the 14th century. Out of 20+ 6 still remain.
The blue domes of Santorini was a place I have wanted to see as long as I can remember. Last October, I was there & I was sick!! Feeling awful but determined, I managed to capture a few shots of the beauty of the caldera, the Aegean Sea and the blue domes.
This is the double chambered tomb in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Gwynedd. It’s just behind the village school, just down the hill from another chambered tomb, all in an area just stuffed with more archaeology. (OK, that was quite chatty for a silent Sunday)
