Hiking the Timberline Trail this weekend, which circumnavigates Mount Hood. Currently hiking CCW from Timberline Lodge to Elk Cove. Knocking out about half of the mileage today to relax the next two days. I slipped in Newton Creek and soaked my right foot. Having a great time though, so good to be back out in the wilderness!
It’s noon, here. Sunny, 72F/22C, slight breeze, not a single cloud. There’s also not a single Honey Bee on the Sage, the Lavender, the Lemon Balm, the Poppies, the Bindweed, the Dandelions, the Blackberries, the Squash, the Melons, the Mallows, the Thistle, etc.

I made it up to 8,300 feet on Mountain Jefferson, which is the highest I’ve been standing on Earth. A little challenging but I had a great time and the views were beautiful. Camped near Shale Lake and explored the area. Very quiet here because most thru hikers are in Washington or California. Have only seen 3 people and they were all headed up Jefferson.

Staying in an amazing beach rental with the family this weekend in Lincoln City, Oregon with a view of Siletz Bay. Cloudy this evening but should clear up tomorrow. This may be hard to believe with how much I hike, but we are planning our first ever family hike. Starting the kids with a 3 mile hike to beautiful Drift Creek Falls. Clam chowder and a beach candy shop are also high on the to do list.
Working on a #Twitch streaming setup because I was very kindly given a gaming PC that wasn't needed anymore and now have the basics to make it work.
I don't really play #videogames all that much, it's never been a habit since about age 20. However I may just do a lot of stream talking about #UnitarianUniversalist stuff, the process of discernment for divinity school, labor agitation and the small shop unions that exist in the #PNW these days, and playing really substandard #chess.
Also talking about #queer neat stuff in #Portland#Oregon#LGBTQ like Dyke Hoops, I'm playing pickup #basketball for the first time since I was in junior high!
I am in #Portland and went to Village Merchants, a local thrift store. In every thrift shop, I usually go straight for the books. At this shop next to the shelves were a stack of wrapped packages with "A Blind Date with a Book" written on the front. There are clues on the front and the back of the package.

This morning, I've been remembering this #StudioGhibli-esque "trailer" the Oregon tourism commission made to encourage visitors to the state. It's very Oregon (or at least how Oregon sees itself).
I live not too far from the 50 second mark lol (heading there--Crater Lake--for a visit tomorrow).

I didn’t plan to hike 32 miles today, it just happened. Hiking sections of the Corvallis to Coast (C2C) trail this weekend. Made it from the edge of Corvallis to Marys Peak and back. I should have turned back sooner but I was halfway up the steep ascent to the peak so I had to commit. Haven’t seen anyone in the forest. So happy to be camping in December! So peaceful.
