I’m hanging out at the famous Blue Pool this morning eating lunch and drying out my tent. It rained a bit while I slept but was only misting by the time I was packing up. I’ve already covered a large portion of the trail last night and this morning. This trail is a gem, I love it out here. I believe the waterfall corridor is next. Portland’s climate tax could fund energy-efficiency upgrades for 3,100 homes
Portland’s climate action fund is preparing to invest $140 million toward 3,100 home retrofits over the next five years. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, decrease energy usage, lower utility bills and increase housing resilience for qualified homeowners, renters and multifamily homes within Portland city limits
I hear it is #Wrensday, so here are some house wrens from last Friday! They were singing up a storm all along the margins of the controlled burn area and lazy braided creek we were visiting in #CentralOR.

It's a rugged place, this high valley in the wilderness of Oregon. May the artwork take you to such a place -- one of wild beauty, intense silence, and timeless majesty.
The sound of the sea, the kiss of mist, rocks underneath my feet: I wander through Nature's remote places -- not in a hurry, not in a rush -- and find solace from the raucous sounds of strife that modern life calls reality.
But here, this is reality, one that I would like to learn more about, and wonder over, and simply be in.
