Forgiving yourself can be much harder than forgiving other people. I'm not there yet. I have a tendency to share more personal information than I should or that anyone wants to hear. My first grade teacher's message on my first report card said, "Patty talks too much". Some things never change. I have strong opinions and usually don't mind sharing them. People shouldn't be calling for Alito's or Thomas' recusal(s). We should be calling - insisting - that they resign.

They are the epitome of unethical, biased and of poor moral character. They are both politically compromised.

The fact that "Chief" Justice Roberts is doing nothing is barely more reassuring. The opinions coming from the court are garbage and the "rule of law" has been tossed. Why should anyone adhere to any decision coming from them?

@GottaLaff NFL It seems to me that the question is not whether they broke a campaign finance law, but whether they were concerned that they had so they found a way to cover it up. The crime is the cover up. The crime is that they falsified documents because THEY believed they had broken the law. Otherwise, why not be up front and let the chips fall where they may?

@br00t4c They could just as easily been amused by him and his responses. He's a character. He handled himself well and didn't allow Blanche to get the better of him. All the defense did was re-up that Cohen has been a prolific liar. They didn't even address the falsification of documents. It doesn't matter what campaign finance law is. Trump et al thought they broke the law and took steps to cover their tracks. That's the crime.

@Saltssaltgirl My daughter has taught social studies (mostly American History, regular, honors & AP) for 17 years. Here she is a few days ago with some of her students. I am so proud of her. She is a great teacher full of empathy, compassion and an honest desire to see her students achieve success. In my mind, there is not a job more important than teaching kids.

@GottaLaff NFL - We can only hope, as observers, that the prosecution will redirect and point out the 33,000 + lies that Trump has told, in no particular order. Of course we all know, that Trump won't testify because when he opens his mouth he's lying.

@GottaLaff No where in all the one upmanship did Blanche even come close to proving Trump's innocence or that he wasn't involved in the conspiracy. Granted, the defense isn't required to prove innocence, but they didn't even address reasonable doubt.

Okay, since I'm on laundry today, a little story.

When hubs and I first got married, we were very much enjoying our little Honeymoon Bubble, and we were being lazy as Hell. We didn't do many chores, but the laundry we really let go. We weren't wearing many clothes at home anyway, so why bother. Anyhow, after weeks we finally reached the swimming suit bottoms situation, and decided it was time. It was loads and loads of laundry that needed done, so I had my husband back the trunk of the car up to a window of the house, then he popped the trunk, and I started tossing laundry out of the window into the trunk. We went to the bank, got about $30 bucks in quarters, and found the emptiest laundry mat we could, and did it all in one fell swoop. We folded it all and loaded it back into the car using those wheeled laundry carts. We never let it get that bad again, and decided it was time to be adults, and do regular chores, but it still makes me laugh imagining what the neighbors and the laundry attendant thought.

@RickiTarr My 80+ yo dad & stepmom slept in an oversized king bed & used a quilt for the top cover. When visiting I always tried to help w/chores. My dad assured me the quilt could be washed in his washing machine. Against my better judgment, I stuffed it in & started the water. It didn't take long for the washer to become overwhelmed & start spewing water from underneath. Now I had a gigantic wet quilt that weighed about 50 pounds. I hauled it to the laundromat to use an equally giant machine.

I don't understand CWing political posts. And that doesn't mean you need to @ me explaining why. I know THEIR reasons, I just disagree with them and won't do it.

I respect CWs for other things, but not politics. Politics is news and people need to be aware of what's happening. It's not gory or violent, it's politics.

After #Biden #wins in November, Congress must immediately begin the process of writing legislation to protect the rights that are threatened & return those that have been taken away.

If we, as a country, don't step up & reject the monetization that has controlled our government for decades, we will lose in 2028

We said before 2020 that we must vote to protect democracy & because Congress was taken over by Republicans, the goals we worked for haven't been achieved. We won't get another chance
