Forgiving yourself can be much harder than forgiving other people. I'm not there yet. I have a tendency to share more personal information than I should or that anyone wants to hear. My first grade teacher's message on my first report card said, "Patty talks too much". Some things never change. I have strong opinions and usually don't mind sharing them. #Trump's #SCOTUS attorney, Jonathan Mitchell, is twisting words to fit his desired meaning. He's trying to make the entire argument based on whether an elected official is an officer of the United States. He's cherry picking, as all Trump's attorneys do, and for the most part, the usual justices are allowing it.

These photos were pointed out in the past week. They are the sort of bad fakes I would make because I have zero skill in this sort of thing.

The thing is, the people who support these actions don't look for fake stuff. They see the activities being memorialized and identify and want to participate, not realizing they're being conned.

I saw a post today discussing palpitations after COVID. Folks, what I tell my patients is: if you get palpitations in the weeks to months after COVID, call your doc and get seen. Here’s why — palpitations after COVID are common, and one prevalent cause is atrial fibrillation. This is often detected by a wearable event recorder such as a Holter monitor, because a 1-time ECG (as if often done in the ER) is worthless if you aren’t in a-fib at the time. A-fib dramatically increases stroke risk.

@freemo @mcnado Thank you. I'm 70 & have never had COVID. I am vaccinated w/boosters. My 38 yo son & his husband have not had COVID, Of the remaining 8 immediate relatives I have, 6 have had COVID at least once. They range in age from 6-42; 3 of the 6 are vaccinated, one is a professional athlete who had COVID in 2021 & has no signs of residual symptoms. In fact, none of the past COVID positive family have had any post COVID signs/symptoms. Awareness is better than fear.

Also known as an #acceleration #clause, a call clause is a provision in a #financial #contract that allows the lender to require immediate payment of a portion of or even the entire remaining outstanding balance, should one of several specified events take place.

If you followed the trial testimony or read any of the evidence presented by the NY prosecutor, you may have noticed that #Trump lenders included acceleration clauses in their loan agreements based on his cash on hand. #Default

@Osteopenia_Powers I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is, first a judgment will be entered. Then it is up to the court to determine how it's to be paid to the prevailing party; cash, property, wage garnishment etc.

I read Trump put the $5 million into a bond or some sort of account pending appeal of the original rape case.

I'm guessing the same or similar will happen with today's case.

Whether secured by property, cash or a combination I would imagine he will be unable to borrow.

@Osteopenia_Powers @_L1vY_ I asked my son, a lawyer. He told me: verdict will turn into an order by the judge for a judgment w/instructions how it's to be pd & when. Trump will have a chance to negotiate dollar amt & pymt terms. Once that's settled, the final order will be issued. If there's not an appeal the plaintiff (Carroll) collects. If there's an appeal, which is likely, money will be placed in a bond, usually no less than 10% & appeals court can stay pymt until appeal is concluded

@Osteopenia_Powers @_L1vY_ The judge can decide how much, but 10% is typically the minimum. Judge Kaplan can order him to put up the full amount. We're in Nevada and every state has different rules. I guess we'll wait and see.

@NoraReed My PCP, and any other provider as far as I know, can bill Medicare or a MC Advantage plan for performing depression screening, and get paid whether the patient presented with or w/o mental health complaints or history.

When the form is presented to me by the med assistant w/instructions to complete it while waiting, I have begun to ck boxes that I'm severely depressed 6/7 days, feel hopeless & think about suicide all the time.

NO provider has EVER asked me about my answers. EVER

Trump will not be appearing on the primary ballot in Nevada on Feb. 6. The reason Nevadans will not be able to vote for Trump — or several of the other Republican candidates — in their state's primary is because they chose to participate in the state GOP-sanctioned caucus instead, which will take place two days later

So the only time Trump could have won Nevada IS IN THE FUTURE and not on Feb 6 but on Feb 8th.

@LaNaehForaday Just in case anyone wants to get tickets to #Trump's "#securitynightmare" rally this Saturday in Las Vegas, here are pictures google earth photos of where it will be held. Each one of those ballfields seats 200 people. If they put chairs all over the outfield, there's still not much seating. It's going to be interesting to see how they do it, then how they talk about it afterwards. Can't wait to hear how many MAGA trucks get stollen or vandalized. #NevadaGOP

    "#CallingOut" #Trump by #Republicans isn't a matter of fear. It's a matter of #choice. Even the "good" republicans choose Trump.

    Trump is the biggest bully in the world, altho #Musk comes pretty close. BUT, we are talking about grown ass people choosing him & what he represents. They WANT what he's offering.

    It's not fear. For the politicians falling in line, it's a matter of greed and thirst for power. For everyone else it's something we don't want to attribute to people we care about.

    @Gustodon It's a sad reality, but my oldest is a Trump voter. He's influencing his two sons who are old enough to vote, and as a consequence, I see them less and less. It really bothered me until recently. I have a son and a granddaughter who are gay. I asked myself if the other son were a stranger would I form a relationship with him, and the answer is "no". I realized I'm not the one damaging the family relationships, they are.

    @Gustodon The older and younger sons have been estranged for a few years for a reason unrelated to politics, but it's been really hard to maintain a relationship with the one who votes against the right to life of his own brother and niece. As a mom, I rack my brain trying to figure out what I did different in raising the two. The answer is, "not much". They are just different people with different values. 🤷‍♀️
