Forgiving yourself can be much harder than forgiving other people. I'm not there yet. I have a tendency to share more personal information than I should or that anyone wants to hear. My first grade teacher's message on my first report card said, "Patty talks too much". Some things never change. I have strong opinions and usually don't mind sharing them. Much of what I post here is not based on existing laws or statutes. My posts are my #gut #reactions to the inequities & blatant #discrimination being tolerated today in our country

I'm glad #HunterBiden was held accountable for income tax "crimes". The #IRS came after me with a vengeance when I failed to pay secondary to my addiction. They only stopped when I became homeless, and I was still required to report.

Now I expect them to go after #ClarenceThomas and every sitting member of #Congress who has failed to appropriately identify financial "gifts" as income.

Maggie Haberman is framing the motivation as ego-driven. But given the vast amount of secret intelligence he kept regarding military capabilities of other nations, profit seems a more likely motivation.

@alwirtes is 's chief . No one should believe anything she writes about him unless it has been proven by a second and independent source. Trump's ego, such as it is, is ALL about money and how much the world believes he has. Once he has lost everything, he will try to pimp out his wife and his daughter - literally. That's assuming they are still around and one or both has not joined him in prison for their own set of crimes.

If you support the #LGBTQ community, spend your #tourism
dollars in safe states.

Don't go to Yellowstone National Park. Don't go to the beaches in the Gulf states. Don't go to New Orleans. Don't go to Grand Teton National Park. Don't support the businesses or the state governments passing these laws.

Money is what legislators understand; money and hate.

How many families could have been fed; how many medical bills could have been paid; how many charging stations for EVs could have been built across the nation; how many shelters or homes for the homeless; how many shoes, how many suits of clothes? The money that just blew up in the sky above Texas was a massive waste of government resources yet space travel/exploration is continually defended. Use the money on THIS planet. Sometimes tried & true is better.

The followers of Jim Jones eventually drank kool-aid spiked w/cyanide. Some didn't. Some were forced. People who believed in the founders of Heaven's Gate, Bonnie Nettles & Marshall Applewhite, ate cyanide pills. David Koresh allowed the men, women & children who thought he was the Messiah, or the Messiah's mouthpiece, to burn, suffocate or be shot to death because HE wouldn't give up & allow the government to confirm the welfare of the women & children in his cult

@armandalb True. For the life of me, I can't figure out what Jones' motive was other than unadulterated power over people, and I believe that is what Trump & DeSantis seek. They are using politics as a means to an end, but I don't think either have authentic political beliefs. They use societal arguments as a method, but they are both amoral.
