#mastoaiuto #livelloSegretoAiutamiTu

If you're in the path of the October 14 annular/partial eclipse and you don't have eclipse glasses yet, now is a good time to order them. Make sure that they meet ISO 12312-2 requirements for eye safety.

You can photograph the Sun during the eclipse using an ND-100000 (16.5-stop) filter or a polymer Solar filter.

NASA has important safety information here for eclipse viewing:

I also played "Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy" on Saturday for the first time. It was...a lot. By the end I was letting the other two players go through their turns as I couldn't catch up on resources or points. My problem was not drawing tiles that would actually give me resources instead of more enemy ships. My first battle ended up with me losing all my ships which took to the end of the game to recover from. Will play again because of how big it is. #boardgames #eclipse #learning

Character board for the board game Eclipse. Various square tiles are seen defining ships and resources. Blue tiles are related to ships, pink, green, and yellow/orange are related to technology. Person dressed in white with a distant planet are seen on the left of the frame.
Detail of a space station mini from the game Eclipse. Various hex tiles are seen in the background with gray, red, white, and black player cubes and ships.

Good morning everybody! Bonjour tout le 🌍! ☕ 🥐🥭🌇 😎

I was at a champagne rooftop party last night so I got home late. Which means: NOTHING for today! 😀

I'm fibbing. I have something very pretty to share.

In 2017 a man, after some thought, had a simple but genius idea and took a camera on a Southwest flight from Portland, Oregon to St. Louise and captured one of the most breathtaking images of all time.

Jon Carmichael's "108" is probably my favorite image and provokes introspection every time I see it.

The picture of my son and the eclipse glasses in thumbnail for the video being premiered tomorrow is NOT photoshopped. I put it around the neck cushion of his car seat.

See the thumbnail today, watch the video tomorrow, practice safe solar viewing soon after!

#eclipse

It’s National Moth Week, July 22 -30, to celebrate the beauty, lifecycles & habitat of moths, so I’m reposting my eclipse of moths (the delightful term of venery for a group of moths).

This hand-printed lino block print shows 5 of the noctural moths of Ontario in front of the moon at a lunar eclipse:…
