Did you know that all people in #Scandinavia (#Norway, #Denmark and #Sweden) understand each other, even though we speak 3 different languages? The amount of Scandinavian speakers totals at more than 20 million! I think it would be cool to have a space for us Scandinavian #GNOME users and contributors to communicate in our mother tongues, so that's what I'm trying to establish now! I'm truly disgusted by Sweden abstain vote. It's truly sad to see the country that used to be a model for peace, human rights and humanity turn into a coward with no respect for any of those.
I'm sure they will also reject the ruling of ICJ in case they vote against Israel.
People might know that there are countries where it is effectively impossible for Jews to live.
What less people know is that there are countries where Jews are not banned outright, or prevented from getting work permits by law, but are made to pay a "Jew Tax" in the form of preventing Jews from producing kosher meat, requiring them to buy foreign meat that is less available and costs a lot more.
Those countries are Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Slovenia.
These countries have a "Jew Tax" which requires their Jewish citizens to buy food at higher prices.
Canada has now joined these countries.
When I was in school and people would ask "How could people pass laws against Jews?", the answer is this... by starting with making life more difficult for Jews, then like the frog in the pot, turning up the heat.

Swedish championship in “pipe smoking” 1965. This was apparently a thing for a few years in the sixties. The goal, if understand correctly, was to smoke a pipe for as long as possible without adding more tobacco, or lighting it up again. Everyone was dealt two matches, but using the second one meant a penalty. The winner would normally smoke for more than an hour.
