i enjoy #videogames, but i don’t normally consider myself a gamer. it’s just a fun way to pass the time. sometimes i play them on the #pc that i built, which was a super fun project.
i work in mortgages, but i’m the guy in our department that does all the #excel macros, data analysis, some database work, etc., mostly because i’m the only one in our group that understands any of it.
i’m introverted and nerdy, but am seeking to expand my social circle. i don’t usually start conversations, but get me talking and i can go for hours. my politics are left and progressive; i don’t like to “be political”, but the world we live in is political and we have to make it better.
For those interested, as I am, in the monitoring of covid virus particles in wastewater... NC has reached a crazy new high for that particular stat. The trend line went vertical over the past few weeks. The previous high was Jan 2022 (Omicron surge?).

Since I co-admin this instance, I would want it to to be hosted similarly as this one with MastoHost but would love to find someone reliable that could moderate and help run it if necessary.
Just curious if there would be much interest in an instance like that.

Recently in Alabama, the Republican legislature refused to comply with a federal judge’s order to create fair voting maps that better represented Black voters. It had to be enforced by court order.
