The two #Dune films remind me of Peter Jackson's #LotR trilogy: amazing films that retain the spirit of the source material while changing them for their medium.
Spent today applying these tabs to all of my Middle Earth rule and campaign books. Hopefully, these will make it easier to find rules and unit profiles.

Posting this for the people who think that Tolkien's world-building was something complete and entire and finished before he started to write.
Finally, feeling human enough to get a few hours painting in today. So I decided to paint up the final Ruffian I needed for the Scouring of the Shire campaign.
This is the first Italian edition of Lord Of The Rings (1977), collected in a single, thick tome. It's part of the Tolkien exhibition at Galleria Nazionale.
I'm particularly fond of this, because this is the one I read when I was 16 y.o. I found and borrowed a copy of it in a local public library. I spent entire sleepless nights reading this.
You've gotta hand it to the wicked Wahhabi dictators of Saudi Arabia for managing to transform the holy Islamic city of Mecca into a hybrid real-life version of #LOTR's Minas Morgul & Mordor. I'm not sure that's how non-Muslims will be convinced that #Islam is the "true religion" lol. Ah yes, who doesn't wanna join Sauron's faith? The Wahhabi/Saudi monarchy razed down literally every historical site in Mecca, only to replace them with this alien monstrosity:
