Star Wars Day is also Comic Book Day? Getting down my tiny collection to see what I have so I don’t double buy almost covered me in dust bunnies. Also, as I wear a star wars shirt of some sort about once a week, I decided I should put on a star trek red shirt, but I don’t own one. I guess The Expanse will have to do. #maythe4thbewithyou#starwarsday#TheExpanse
More than a little envious that my #SpaceRocks compadres are down in Bordeaux this week, along with Steven Strait (aka Holden from #TheExpanse), who’s taking a trip on the Novespace Air Zero-G plane today, & a crew of fellow astronauts from ESA.
And as on the Rocinante, a good cup of coffee is needed to start the day 🙂👍
The group consciousness described in Leviathan Falls reminds me of losing yrself in Nirvana, or the Great Link of Odo's ppl in DS9. Haven't reached the end yet, but I can understand how it wld B tempting, desirable.
I wonder if it wld apply only to humanity, or wld cats, etc join in. #TheExpanse#philosophy#bookstodon
I made an orange version of my "mag boot" lights inspired by #TheExpanse for visibility when walking around traffic. Might also be useful when on a bike. Thoughts?
Made these "mag boot" lights (red version with arrow pattern) inspired by #TheExpanse to keep me visible when walking around traffic. Could also work for when on a bicycle/motorcycle/scooter. What do you think?

Something I've noticed about #TheExpanse is how YOUNG it casts the lower, enlisted and/or conscripted soldiers in the respective #mcrn and #unn navies.
I appreciate it, makes it feel less idealized and more grounded.
I dunno who needs to know this, but in Canada, at least, AppleTV is selling the entires series of both The Expanse and Battlestar Galactica for $25 each. Last week #TheExpanse box set was $60. This may mean I never subscribe to Prime Video again. #RememberTheCant
I just finished the final book of #TheExpanse, and it feels like I've closed a chapter of my life. I began the series about seven years ago and continued through the books over time. I was a different person back then, in a different phase of my life.
The world-building is detailed, yet never dull. It weaves together themes of love, conflict and demonstrates what has connected humanity for centuries.
It’s not about a bright future like in StarTrek but it seems more realistic and believable.
Am I using this little scene where Chrisjen stopped to look and touch the outfit she was wearing while meeting Bobbie on the beach to back up my silly little theories? absolutely! #TheExpanse
Currently on book 2 of The Expanse series (finished the first one in 3 days). It gets a bit confusing as my brain is still used to the tv series plotline
This code is REALLY nicely written with discrete entities and systems for modeling the math needed for a convincing depiction
So I tore it apart to build a hologram inspired by #TheExpanse’s opening titles and futuristic 3D UI design, with hundreds of ships swarming the planet marked with their transponder codes
Reading Nemesis Games by James S.A. Corey.
Ganymede seems to have completely recovered & is even sending extra crops back to Earth, as aid after the OPA attacks.
So I was wondering, how many years have passed since the protomolecule attack on Ganymede?
