@eco_amandine@pixelfed yes, that is possible via the post menu on the feed (in the new app), so you won’t have to lose your feed position and any posts by that account will be filtered!
We’re also working on a Block & Suggest feature that allows you to easily suggest to friend accounts to block that account with an optional note and the ability to share the context (post, comment, profile) of where you blocked them. It’s limited to Pixelfed, Wdyt? Would you find this useful?
@pixelfed On the Instagram side of the internet we soon get unskippable ads and on the cool side we get total control over our data. Really hard to tell which service I like more... #not
@pixelfed Are you at some point fixing the missing NSFW toggle on the website or no? You have to click on every single image first (with all results being blurred) and then again to unblur it - which you have to do for every single image. There's no global setting under UI Settings to just show them clearly.
Block Suggest, a new feature coming to Pixelfed that allows you to suggest to mutual followers to block a specific account when you block them.
Imagine a Mute, Block and Block & Suggest Button
The recipients will get a special notification that explains the suggested you block them with optional context and on the web ui and official app, you will be able to block or ignore with one tap!
@dansup interesting idea for some use cases, but it seems like it would also escalate interpersonal disputes that don’t need it and/or lead to dog piling
So I’m working on a kind of PDS or relay for Pixelfed servers to discover trending content and help fill new instance timelines and profile suggestions!
It will be based on content from and discovered by pixelfed.social, however I’ll be open sourcing the PDS (Pixelfed Discovery Server) so you can run your own for yourself or others
It will be easy and intuitive, I hope to add more features to it later on, lots of potential ✨
The nice thing about the new @pixelfed app is that image aspect ratios are preserved, so you don’t miss any details!
Sometimes they can be taller than your screen, or constrained in a carousel, either way we are adding native pinch to zoom to allow you to quickly zoom in without leaving the screen/feed position you’re on!
