I’ve always wanted to see this, and finally I have. SO MUCH HAPPY.

I spent 25 years working in broadcast news, and I never saw a newsroom not suck up to local police with every fiber of their being, or to ever question the info coming out of a police spokesman’s mouth, or to ever report anything that might make the cops look anything less than superheroes.

(I’m not saying there aren’t independent news outlets that don’t report fairly on the police, but I am saying they are few and far between.)

I feel like this should be common knowledge, but if it isn't: if your rechargeable batteries are completely dead and won't take a charge in your smart charger (the kind that knows when your battery is fully charged and stops charging then), if you pop them into an old-school "dumb" charger (the kind that has no clue if your battery has any juice left in it or not) for a few minutes to put a little bit of charge into them, they'll work again in the smart charger and you don't have to toss em out!

The new #redbubble fees are awful. I've been on there for 8 years, and my total income from it has been about $50 AUD in total. My highest single payout was $22.47, and per their new fee table they would take $14.70 of that. I just wanted to put my art some place and get paid maybe a little for it but I don't want to earn more money for redbubble in the hopes that I maybe get some scraps for the work I did. What other sites are out there?

So in case you ever wondered, if you're in the middle of an automated voice-recognizing phone tree and your VERY loud cat is walking around meowing at the top of his lungs, the phone tree will continually stop in the middle of all options to tell you "I'm sorry, I didn't understand that last part," and then start over again from the top of the options menu.

What can I say the #wordpressdotcom and #ActivityPub integration with the #Fediverse is still a little rough around the edges. Comments are also not reliably appearing.
Looks like I am not moving away from brid.gy anytime soon.
