An FBI email obtained by WIRED shows a Deputy Director encouraging warrantless wiretaps of "US persons."

Meanwhile, we've learned Intel Committee members are hosting a private party on the Hill called "FISA FEST" to celebrate extending a warrantless spy program.

WIRED sent a reporter to a "constitutional sheriffs" convention.

One speaker said he'd formed a "posse" of about 150 "deputized citizens" to protect voting polls from "immigrants" and then passed out literature for other sheriffs to teach them how to form their own.

This is an article from 1976 about the first Supreme Court decision kicking off the third-party doctrine, about a week after Apple Computers is founded. Found it on the CIA's website.

House set to vote on a bill banning cops from buying location data instead of getting a warrant. [Fourth Amendment Is Not for Sale Act]

NY Republican Nick LaLota is working to gut the bill with an amendment beforehand.

NEW: Senate plans to vote tomorrow on a provision that legal experts say will greatly expand a US wiretap program, forcing whole new categories of businesses to spy on Americans communicating with people overseas.

Critics on Capitol Hill are calling it the "Stasi provision"

A broker w/ US defense ties (and execs accusing each other of fraud) tracked nearly 200 cellphones and other devices on/off Jeffrey Epstein's cursed pedo island.

WIRED lifted the data & is analyzing it (cautiously)

I was leaked years of internal letters sent by the House Intel Cmte. They show last week's Russian 'threat' was anomalous.

Very few letters, known as "dear colleagues," urge members to read classified docs.

Last week's—interrupting a vote on privacy reforms—is the only one labeled "Urgent."

News: I’ve gained quite a bit of intel over the weekend about last week’s Russian threat announcement. I managed to gain access to over a decade’s worth of similar alerts sent by House Intel staff. What happened is far more extraordinary than is currently understood. Look for my follow-up tomorrow.
