Ever been moved to tears just thinking about the beauty and impact of #art?

It happened during this episode of @Flipboard's The Art of Curation podcast — an interview with two security guards from the Baltimore Museum of Art who participated in curating the "Guarding the Art" show in 2022.

It was refreshing to hear from people with a great appreciation for art, but who are often overlooked when it comes to sharing their opinions about it.

A French couple who sold a mask to an antiquities dealer for €150 (about $157) are asking him to compensate them after he sold it on for €4.2 million ($4.4 million) at auction. However, activists say the artifact should instead be returned to Gabon, the Central African country from which it was looted by occupying forces. Artnews has more details.

Ontario photographer Dave Conlon started photographing abandoned homes in 2012, and has spent the ensuing 12 years shooting the insides of forsaken homes, monasteries, hotels and churches. Now, he's planning a trip to Canada's largest ghost town, Anyox, which neighbors the Alaska border and can be accessed only by jet boat or helicopter. He shared his work with Maclean's, and spoke to reporter Alex Cyr about his process, ethics, and brushes with the law.
