Experimenting with using #Inkarnate to do my tile-based, pre-made map-based #cyberpunk battle maps.
One limitation is that there's no way to organize your uploaded assets, though they're working on it with their Art Manager add-on, which is coming real soon now.
Can you tell me about the style of typography in this image? I am assuming it was made using an architect's type template-thing? The kind that holds a pen?
What is that tool called?
Are there any fonts that mimic the look? (or conversely, what font does the template mimic?)
For those of you that are following the volcanic unrest near the town of Grindavík, it's been a slow decline in activity. I’ve been very focused on work for the past month but making sure I get all the rest I need in between long working days at the Met Office. Lots of #GIS and #mapmaking but less tooting. During this waiting game period, I feel the most interesting measurement to look at is the GNNS station at Svartsengi (SENG). Let's take a look (🧵 1/3)
The Desert Hound, a quite litteral sandbox adventure drawn for a Cartographers Guild challenge. It was a looooong map but one I enjoyed drawing a lot. If you end up playing with it, please drop your experience by me ;) #map#mapmaking#mapmaker#cartography#rpg#jdr#dnd#fantasymap
Had the idea of making a portolan chart for the #30DayMapChallenge Day 7 Navigation.
It turned out... kinda OK... but it was a bit of a last minute scramble and it shows. I want to have another go at properly making one of these at some point down the line. They're such fun maps.
Made in #inkscape with a parchment paper for texture.
For the past 2 weeks or so we’ve had an ongoing earthquake swarm very close to the town of Grindavík in the Reykjanes Peninsula. The swarm is very likely caused by an inflating magma body currently at about 5 km depth. The shape of the body is most likely a flat sill expanding and causing earthquakes. These events might lead to an eruption very close to people’s homes and lots of infrastructure.
