Have not had these before: #Geastrum , a #fungus called #Earthstar . Probably a good sign of a healthy, #biodiverse#garden - always exciting to find something new. Not sure, which variety. Maybe someone can help.

Cut out the #bamboo by taking the lower leaves off and took out some stems. Looks a bit radical but may have the desired effect of letting more light through.
I think I'm still in recovery from learning a few weeks ago that Canadian fossil fuel companies tell people that because it's "natural" gas that they produce, burning it can't hurt the environment. And people believe them. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, remember that and 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hylotelephium spectabile (sedum, ice plant) and Cosmos. Both late flowering, very popular with the insects, bees in particular, at a time when other flowers are becoming rare.

New gas wells have a total average daily output of 5.3 million cubic meters of natural gas. Ukraine's Naftogaz company says Ukraine will pass the 2023-2024 winter without imported gas for the first time ever.

Have to say, the #animal rights people that are so far afield from actual wildlife #biology, that they advocate and suggest a means of eliminating #predation from the #natural cycle are...scarily similar to the eugenicists of the turn of the 20th century, that evolved into the fascists of the early 20th century... what with genetically modifying animals to control populations to the point of extinction...these people are absolutely bonkers....
Climate change is an immediate threat to the majority of the world's population.
We need a local, regional, state, national, and international "moon shot" type of concentration of effort using available resources while developing and advancing new science and technologies to counteract the damage humans have caused.
Without this type of all-out, universal cooperation, human civilization, and perhaps humanity itself, are in imminent danger of extinction.
"We know that #wilderness is an incredibly powerful #natural#climate solution and we need to be conserving more of it."
"...each...of us really needs to get on this and work with organizations like #NortheastWildernessTrust...put these #lands aside...large and small alike...20 acres or 200...or 2,000...it's all important."
It's about doing Everything, Everywhere, All at Once to mitigate #ClimateChange.
