I love love love this ultra light thermal pullover especially how it’s sort of translucent so you can see my “save the ant” tee through it. Some guy makes these in etsy and I might need to get another! It has light blue contrasting plastic snaps and pairs perfectly with my purple burberry scarf! To me? this is peak fashion THE look for “fall into winter casuals.” #fashion#ultralight#gear#style
ETA: the fabric is called "alpha direct" the store where I got it is now closed for now
WOW! just perused the image gallery for the #MetGala over at Harper's Bazaar and it's not only super-uninspiring, but for maybe a couple of people who understood the assignment. it's the beauty aesthetics of most of the people attending that is very late-stage capitalism with a bad take on trans-humanism. the 1% and their millionaire lackeys are really into that waxy Real Doll skin aesthetics. baffling.
Hey friends, does anyone know what either of these objects are?
(They were found in a deceased relative's jewelry box.)
Please boost for added eyes, thanks! 😊
The lettering on the object on the left says:
Hadley Made in USA
Both ends open up to 90⁰ and the main body expands and contracts about a centimetre.
A clever person has said that the object in the right is a Writescope telescoping mechanical pencil. Thanks!
I missed this last month: France has launched an initiative to reduce textile waste by paying people to repair their clothes instead of throwing them out.
Starting October, people will be able to claim between €6 and €25 of the cost of mending clothes and shoes. The money will come from a €154 million fund and is meant to support businesses in offering more apparel repair services.
The event will feature 3 custom upcycled textile creations worn by 3 models during live fashion drawing session. Topped with a night of flamenco performance where the dancers wear costumes I either repaired, refashioned, or made from scratch with remnants / deadstock.
My head space is filled with executing the project that I can’t come up with an event name. Help! 😭
It’s not easy to assemble an outfit this boring. An outfit that is so unremarkable it’s remarkable. This the essence of my fashion movement. That’s Bland Fancy.

Sorting through the stuff from my closet, realizing I have this dress code covered, but I will never wear it again. (although the shirts, admittedly, are from the early 2000's). #ibm#dresscode#advertisement#fashion#clothing
.@ChristinaSiunOConnell sent me a gift certificate to Ministry of Scent for Xmas and I picked up my collection of samples today. First one I've tried is Idyllwild from Ineke. I'm immediately in love, it's so fresh and vibrant. Really refreshing and intriguing at once.
From their description:

Pieces that only exist once in the world.
My beloved fairy necklace with earrings went to a client in Hollywood. Paper yarn in fairy green with Japanese glass art. Elaborately handmade. For people who dare.
I still make them today in several colours, but each one is unique. Why did I never made one for me?! 🤔
