The idea that you can get #CompleteStreets by giving money to the highway department is a complete failure. It's 2024 and ODOT is rebuilding #stroads with curb-tight sidewalks and painted bike lanes that run between a right turn lane and thru traffic, posted speed: 45mph. The focus needs to be on scrapping-together and then incrementally improving a connected low-stress bikeway network throughout the metro region, not repaving and updating disjoint segments to 1990's designs.

If your EVs aren't selling maybe that's because you're making giant fucking trucks and SUVs and hyper-expensive luxury sedans and the kind of people who want EVs mostly just want a compact car for getting to work and running errands.

Sure you can drive a car, but why does that obviate others from riding an e-bike when the majority of trips are under three miles and half of that distance is #Parking. The funding that it would take to enable transit and e-bikes for everyone is being used to subsidize luxury SUVs for a few, but obviously you need a car, fine, pay for it.
