I remember doing all sorts of crafts with glue & paper learning fractions but never did we try dividing the paper to infinity— I think this should be something everyone tries. I’d do this with calculus students learning series! The idea of an infinite sum having finite value is just more— believable after you really do it. Some recent information came to light that placed my wife’s grandfather’s birthplace to this small town on the north side of Mount Etna. While the original home had been replaced, next to it were several homes that retained the original look of the late 1800s, as it would have been in his time.
When actors in US hospital series speak of "GSW", are they aware that the abbreviation spoken out needs more syllables that just saying "Gunshot wound"? 🤔

Never watched Star Trek before and it’s such a treat: from the super random sensuality to the intense gazes, it is so imaginative and… I don’t know. Cool. It is cool.

Skończyłem... przerwałem... oglądać nowego Shoguna. W pewnym momencie (dość nagle) dobry serial zrobił obrót o 180 stopni i nie ma za wiele wspólnego z książką. Główny bohater zachowuje się, jak idota (i zrobił rzeczy nie do pomyślenia w książce), pan Toranaga też zachowuje się, jak idiota... dzieją się losowe rzeczy... nie mogę dalej tego oglądać. Czy każdy serial w XXI wieku musi obrzydzać wszystkie postacie i udowadniać, że potrafi lepiej od oryginału? To dla mnie zaskakujące, bo na początku było naprawdę dobrze.
