So Kickstarter just selected our Gujarati Pulp Fiction campaign as a "Project We Love"... which will apparently make it more visible on their platform. Yay!
“Bite Me” is a queer visual novel set in an alternate-history Iran. In it, you play as a person invited to a Yaldā Night party by the rich and reclusive Kymiagar family, only to discover that they are vampires and you are not supposed to survive the night.
The game is currently in the middle of a financing campaign on Kickstarter and is struggling to reach its goal. Please, if you like vampires, queer stories with non-white and disabled people and/or visual novels, consider supporting it!
The game has a free demo available on itch.io. From what I’ve seen so far, it has really good writing and great characters. It’s been two weeks since I’ve played to it and I can’t stop thinking about them. I really want to see where the story will go!
Please everyone, even if you are not interested by the concept, boost this post to help the campaign gain traction. I really want to see the people behind this succeed!
Music platform @mirlo is raising funds to keep running! They let listeners buy directly from musicians, with only 7% going to the platform. They're owned by a worker co-op and open-source too
I really appreciate what they're doing, especially with the instability at Bandcamp
I recently launched a Kickstarter for a cute fashion apron with a window/ita window to display pins & merch!
I worked for months designing this just for Twitter to collapse the same exact day as my launch and now I'm struggling to reach my previous audience. I'd like to see if I can find a new fashion audience on Mastodon so I'd really appreciate any boosts to help me find them!
The Lost Cause is my next novel. It's about the climate emergency. It's hopeful. $LibraryJournal called it "a message hope in a near-future that looks increasingly bleak." As with every other one of my books #Amazon refuses to sell the audiobook, so I made my own, and I'm pre-selling it on #Kickstarter:
Colleen's previous adaptations of Neil's work have been works of art, and won a lot of well-deserved awards, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
(NB: this adapts the book, not the TV show; related, but not identical.)
There's an early-bird tier available only today, so I recommend giving it a look now…
Be sure to lend your support to this ambitious project to create modern replacements for the EXTREMELY FRAGILE inner bezels of the G3 #Apple#Macintosh#iMac!
Your daily reminder that the #fediverse, built on protocols that use industry standards, enables way more than just #mastodon and similar social networks. Projects like Tapestry show that Fedi apps don't have to be social at all to be both useful and commercially viable. Hoping we can see @Iconfactory crush their stretch goals and really land a new kind of app that we need more of: a client for the web that isn’t a browser.
This is the cover of the #WomenInTechBook! "It's Never Just You" – a #nonfiction, part-#memoir book on how women come into tech jobs and what makes them stay. Hope, you like it. =)
